My family stayed here in Fall 2023 and I appreciate the ability to stay here and all that they offer. I will say, I recommend asking for a room without the shared wall with the mechanical room. We had some very loud equipment wake us up in the middle of the night. My other complaint is that they allow smoking right in front of the rooms. Our shared wall neighbor's smoke came right inside our room so we were forced to close windows each time he went outside. Maybe a small pavilion slightly away from the rooms would help this and still be comfortable to those who smoke. I also understand they should not have to walk away from their rooms, but with no air conditioning we need windows open so I am not sure what other option is feasable to everyone. We chose not to bring these issues up to the front desk because we only stayed two nights, I myself got very sick the second night, and we promptly left the hotel before a third night. We would consider staying there again but would ask for a room away from the mechanical room and will have to consider if we are up for keeping windows closed.

Stayed in the RV park part of the resort. Everything was just absolutely. Great staff. Only thing that is needed is better Sewage transfer parts. Plan on going back again

We stayed in one of the Yurts and it was nice. The cots were comfortable and it was clean and had a table and chairs provided inside. There was no place to fill water ie... a 3-5 gallon water container. The staff was not very helpful when it came to questions about the water. Everything else was very well kept and the bathrooms were the nicest and cleanest camp bathrooms I've ever seen!!

We stay here frequently. All the employees are polite and very helpful. We rented hotel rooms and an rv spot. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the rv park is pleasant. The shower rooms are spotless. There is a free shuttle to downtown. We will be back.

Seward Military Resort is a great respite for our active, guard, reserve and retirees to experience the best of what Alaska has to offer. The new renovations look fantastic! Really appreciate the spirited staff, clean facilities and MWR opportunities throughout.

Booked this trip not knowing what to expect, and left enjoying every moment of our week! This resort is a hidden gem, especially for the price. Book as far as you can in advance for the summer months (reservations open 365 days out). Quiet, peaceful, friendly staff, fantastic amenities including a fish house (to fillet your catch, vacuum seal, freezer store, and ship if needed) and gear shop (can rent/buy fishing supplies, hip waders, etc.). Rooms were nice and fit our needs (Seward is not a place to come for luxury, but the room was more than comfortable). WiFi was consistent and acceptable - wouldn’t attempt any virtual meetings but more than sufficient for most use cases. Bar and grill open Wed-Sun, although we didn’t have a chance to eat there. Washers/Dryers worked well ($1.25 for each). Bobbi at the front desk was incredibly helpful at giving us tips for marine tours (and when to book ahead for a discount) as well as fishing charters. |Above all the highlight of the trip was salmon fishing with Duane and Suki! You can sign up at the front desk, check in the morning to see what time they are going (based on the tides), and they will show you to snag salmon at Nash Bay. They have been coming to Seward for almost 15 years, and donate their time to help guests. Having never done this before, we really appreciated their time and patience. They absolutely made certain we caught something! It was always fun to meet the other guests going out that day as well. Hope they will continue to offer this experience in the future. ||We are returning home with fond memories, a full cooler, and already-booked reservations for next year. If you are visiting, make certain you bring a sharp fillet knife and #10 hooks! (can get at shop in town if needed)

The price was a nice price. This resort is in a nice location and the grounds are very well maintained. The fish processing facilities are superb, the common areas were fine, and the staff are exceptionally nice. I gave an average rating however because the place is dated and needs updating in terms of everything other than the fish processing facilities. Everything is just old and worn. The wifi was intermittent at best, and only available if you were physically in your room. Given the physical location and how mobile data is unreliable as a result, it would have been nice to have stronger and more consistent wifi access.

Great place to stay in a beautiful setting. We’ve stayed several times and loved it. We do bring our own blankets because the bedding is pretty minimal. Friendly staff, great hiking trails, good shops. The hardware store downtown has just about everything at good prices.
