NillMy husband and I stayed here 3 nights. It wasn't perfect, but it wasn't horrible. The rooms are small, and we had a mouse run across our room before we went to bed the 3rd night. The bed was extremely uncomfortable.

NillAcceptable place to stay if the goal is simply to save money and have somewhere to sleep at night. Like many motels, room was dingy and in need of minor repairs, and you may have several spiders as roommates. The location is great and at no time did we feel unsafe. Staff were very friendly and the coffee/tea in the office provided a quick boost to start the morning.

NillEven though I had a low score on the room, it was not the hotels fault. We had one of the nicer rooms with king bed but our reservation was cancelled at the last minute by the third party. The person at the desk was very very nice and had one room left due to a cancellation. It was 4th of July so it was very crowded and they are in the middle of it between downtown and the harbor. Unfortunately the room was a queen and was small for two adults and not as clean as we would of liked and it was not CHEAP!! Again - at least we had a room - I would stay here again but make sure I get the better room I had request. For the service and the location - I give it 4 stars for the service and the location.

NillThis almost felt like a bad bed & breakfast without the perks. The room was mostly clean, except the shower that had a lot of hair. The temperature for all the rooms is controlled by one thermostat at the front desk, which closes at 9pm. The walls are so thin, we could hear the people in the next room snore. The coffee maker is only at the front desk and if someone turns it on with another appliance, it blows the breaker and can't be reset until the front desk opens again, at 9am.

NillBeware my friend, their check in time ends before sunset. After that point, they won’t check you in even if they are awake. We came back the next day, asking if we could cancel the unused stay. They said they can refund us, once we canceled it on Expedia. But when Expedia contacted them, they altered their words, saying we never showed up on our booked date (while we did), and refused to refund. This is absolutely horrible experience, and we felt they lied to us about the refund just to get us away.

NillRoom was dirty (hair along floor boards of bathroom, etc.) Bedding, and towels had hair on them, and room smelled of cigarettes. The staff was friendly, bed was comfortable, and it was dark at night with the black out curtains, allowing for decent sleep.

NillIt’s not a 5 star hotel, but it’s very clean, and the rooms are nice. It’s in a great location. Almost everything in Seward is in walking distance from Murphy’s. The staff at check in were friendly and really went out of their way to help us. If you’re looking for a luxury hotel, this isn’t the hotel you are looking for. However, if you want a nice, clean, safe place to rest after a fun day in Seward Murphy’s is perfect!!!!!!
