The staff make up for that which is out of their control! GM and others on staff provide quality service that makes you somewhat forget the work that needed at this hotel!

NillI drove a very long distance through a snow storm where I had very little service and was looking forward to checking in and getting some rest but when I arrived they said my reservation had been canceled because I didn’t call and say I wouldn’t make it for check in the night before. I had a 4 night reservation and made it there before check out time the next day so I should have still had 3 nights but they canceled the whole reservation so that left me scrambling to find another hotel while working on getting a refund for the remainder of the stay. The front desk clerk was so rude and wouldn’t even try to work with me after explaining my situation. She wouldn’t let me speak to a manager and said the hotel was fully booked now. Why should it matter if I’m there or not if the room is paid for.

NillWorst experience at a hotel ever! Don't waste your time and money! Just find something else, anything else. Went there at 11:30pm to check in. The hotel was tiny, outdated, and looks nothing like pictured. Tucked in the back of a big lot, past bunch of other motels. Went inside and everything was old, 1960s old, and filthy. The elevator was scary old and shaky, carpet was old and dirty, walls were nasty, the place was just gloomy and squeaky. We went to the room on the 2nd floor and as we opened the door, nasty cigarette smell hit us (we booked a non-smoking room). We went down to ask for a a new room and the receptionist said she had none. We asked for a refund and she said she couldn't give us a refund because we booked through hotels.com. What a nightmare. Ended up having to look for a hotel in the middle because this place was nasty and smelled like cigarettes. Absolutely unacceptable. Never again. Spare yourself the misery and looks elsewhere.

NillMy trip was for a wedding, so I looked for a quiet, clean and affordable hotel. Wingate was exactly what I needed, the hotel was perfect! The staff were very friendly and genuinely cared about you and wanted to know how they could help make your stay better. Camilla was amazing!! Housekeeping did a wonderful job, the gal at breakfast created a different variety for everyday. The hotel was clean, it was in a quiet nook so didn't hear a lot of traffic or noise.

NillMixed feelings on this hotel. Room was large and quite nice. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom, there was a lot of hair strands in and around the bathtub, that is one of my pet peeves. Kind of gross! The bathtub faucet was extremely loose, thought it would break off. The staff at the front desk, were super friendly and helpful when I had trouble with my TV. When I couldn't get it to work one of them came up to my room to assist and fixed the problem. One thing that I really did not appreciate is the smell of Marijuana constantly! I am very sensitive to smells and this was bad! I got into the elevator and the smell in there was so strong, it was awful! In my room I kept getting the smell coming into my room, at times quite strong. Made me nauseous. There is no way to get that smell out or cover it up, I just had to endure it my entire stay unfortunately.

NillI was completely devastated with our room. We were in Chandler for my wife's Heart Surgery. We showed up for early check in. We were told that the plumber just finished working in the room. When we entered there was a drill in the sink with a sink snake attached tools on the floor and drain assembly apart. We dropped off our luggage in the room and proceeded to the hospital. I returned to the room myself at around 11pm as they kept my wife in the hospital overnight. The drill was gone but no drain stopper and sewer gas smell was bad. I put a towel in the sink to stop the gases. By morning the sewer gas smell was horrendous. I left to go to the hospital. When returning around noon we talked to the person at the desk about changing the room and the issues. She stated that she did not have the same room type as we had a premier suite, she only had a junior suite. I asked about the price difference. She told me that she will not adjust the price. While my wife waited in the car (after needing bed rest). I packed up the room as I was packing up our belongings. I took a good look at the room. No drain plug in sink, bugs in the bathroom on the floor,black hair in tub, filthy hand print on the bathroom door, blood spot on wall by the closet, the window lock was broken and would not lock major security issue, on the ground floor with no window screen), broken glass in window frame edges, ( it looked as if this room has been broken into before, ungodly stain on the chair and literally paint everywhere. carpet, floors, furniture, toilet, desktop. We have been in the Hospitality Business for over 35 years. This room was disgusting and should of never been rented. We checked out, we originally booked for 3 days Fri-Mon. It wasn't easy to find a room at noon on Sat. We ended up paying more booking one elsewhere. My wife even had a message on her phone that the water was being turned off that Friday. At best I should receive a full refund for my 6 hrs that I was actually in the room. An apology for the dreadful experience with a Wyndham Hotel. Room 130 and if Management is interested or cares at all I have numerous photos I would be happy to send them as this site only allows google photos and I have them on my phone. This is unacceptable. If I could I would give this hotel a "ZERO".

NillThe ONLY neutral, comment I have, is that the shower did not have anti-slip on it. When I stepped into the shower, I almost fell, otherwise they are so friendly, service was Top shelf, and I will stay here again. I advised them at the front desk and they were awesome!!!

★★Positive: The staff was overall nice. Negative: The room that i was given was next to the maintenance/workers room. As a result my dog and I were woken up at 4 am every morning when they came in. This was probably the worst sleep I have ever had. In addition, the room was not fully clean.
