Beware! The old Bait and Switch Con Game! We received Booking Number via email from Morro Bay Beach Inn 4 days before checking in. These scammers then invoiced me for 10.5 % more for room rental, along with the increased taxes, accordingly. Initially attempted to contact their Accounts Receivable and Lady said to email the information. I emailed detailed information, including their own pricing information, twice in the next couple of days. No Response. I called again and same woman said owner out of the country and he would contact me in a month or so! Seriously! After further discussion, the lady promised to contact him and call me back. Big Surprise, that never happened. Besides these swindlers hoping to pad their own profits by illegal means, the bathroom was filthy and had not been remodeled for at least 30 years!

As my husband and I were traveling through we found the gem of a place. The staff was so kind and helpful. It was quiet, peaceful, clean, and very well-kept. I liked that they had the soap/shampoo in liquid form and in dispensers. it made it easy and never a need to ask for more. I definitely plan on staying here again. I recommend this place for a great stay. It is close to the beach but yet away from traffic. Thank you for a great stay at your cute hotel.

Terrible customer service, rude and unfriendly. Did not honor reservation, changed the price and overcharged $50. Warned not to smoke in room, we assured we would not, then we were accused of smelling like smoke and warned again not smoke in room so we had to reassure it that we wouldn't. Thin walls. Beds extremely hard and uncomfortable like sleeping on floor. We did not get any sleep even though we were exhausted from driving. Also kept warning us to be quiet when we were already super quiet and not making any noise.

Adequate but no more. Bed was comfy with soft sheets but decor was essentially non-existent and charm = zero. I did sleep ok, so I guess the minimum standard for a motel was met. However, the appearance of the room was dismal; it was clean but looked dirty due to shoddy repairs work, kind of gross paint job (yellow must’ve been on sale) which didn’t match room carpet or bed spread or other wall color. Missing grout on bathroom floor, liquid “soap” seemed to be three different types/colors in cheap dispenser. Bathroom towels clean but thin and seemed cheap.||It is close to the beach and “downtown” so easy to get places.||Do not recommend except in a real pinch.

I found this place on TripAdvisor as I was passing through the area. I am very pleased with the room. Though a little small, it was very clean and nicely appointed with newer furniture and what looks to be a brand new 40-in screen TV. The bed and pillows are comfortable, and everything works. This room has a small refrigerator and microwave. Plenty of light fixtures around the room. The gentleman who checked me in at the front desk was very nice and very helpful. If I had to complain, I would say the bathroom fan is a little rumbly, and the water pressure at the bathroom sink is minimal. But that all sounds like nitpicking. All in all it's a decent little place at a very good price.

We stayed here for a few days. Room was bit less than what we expected, but seemed to be somewhat current. No breakfast offered. It was pretty no frills in terms of service, but we didn't really inquire about too much. Lobby looked pretty good. No AC, but the weather there is not especially hot. View of the Bay was pretty good (which is why we chose this place initially). Its on the water so there are a lot of birds. Food offerings in the surrounding area were pretty decent. Probably would look for another place to stay when we return to the area.

Writing negative reviews can force hotels to lower their prices, but the places with already low prices should be rewarded. The sign in front says "recently refurbished" and we saw the improvements. We didn't see any of the appearance problems mentioned in some of the other reviews. We found the room to be spacious and clean. The beds are a little too soft, and we woke up with sore backs, but it's not a big deal. The manager and staff are friendly and the location is great. Consider this the best value in town!

On our way North and needed one night stay. Booked room on hotwire for Total of $105. When we checked in desk clerk told us there was only 1 room queen bed for our price. The room is tucked in the corner(104), very small and had smell we didn't like. We asked if we could move to another room and was told not for price we booked. I have used hotwire for years and never have I been told by a property that they only have one room for the hotwire price and that we could cancel and ask for refund. Hotwire won't refund. Therefore we are stuck. Beware if you book a room on hotwire with this property. Room is small. Everytime room next door turns on the water/or flushes, it sounds like it's in our room. The water pressure at sink is very low. We can hear the tv next door. Better off paying more and staying elsewhere.
