NillDisclaimer & context: I'm a "nothing is perfect" person, so I will never give a full 5-star review. Building was aged, but had clearly been properly maintained. The pool was undergoing major maintenance, again showing that they are maintaining things properly. Rooms were clean and maintained too. Service was good. All 3 front desk employees that I met were friendly, respectful, and helpful. Breakfast staff was as well. There weren't any room services done during my relatively short stay. Can't comment on that. Location was good for the purpose of my trip. I was in walking distance of various restaurants in Old Town as well as the MCRD. It was also in walking distance of public transportation to the airport, down town, etc. It'll be on my list of places to stay next time I'm coming to the area.

NillMy stay at the Courtyard Marriott in Old San Diego was overall quite pleasant. The room was comfortable, well-maintained, and provided everything I needed for a relaxing visit. The staff were exceptionally friendly and went out of their way to ensure a pleasant stay. Additionally, the hotel is situated in a fantastic location, close to many attractions and conveniences. However, I must mention that the $30 per night parking fee felt excessive. It seemed like an unnecessary expense, almost like a tacky money grab. This was a bit of a downside in an otherwise great experience.

★★★★★This property is a bit dated, but the people more than make up for it! Michelle at the front desk went above and beyond getting me exactly the room I wanted, even though the app said it wasn’t available. And the amazing Marisol in the Bistro made me cry with her kindness to me and my husband when our trip was impacted by illness and a series of unfortunate events. Even though I was far away, Marisol made me feel at home!! Also she makes a DELICIOUS margarita:)

NillLiked the location, close enough to walk but not in a congested area. The curtains were like black out and didn't hear much noise from the highway. Only issue was a bunch of fruit flies from the second we walked in. Killed about 20 while trying to get ready in the bathroom each night. Would stay again but would definitely say something right away next time to try to get moved into a different room

★★★★I spent 1 night at this hotel and I found it perfectly adequate for a short stay. Bed is comfortable, room is spacious, shower is good, it's very clean throughout. |My only negative would be the sound insulation between rooms which is not sufficient to block out neighbors's noises. |Location allows you to explore the old town which has a special Mexican feel. |Special thanks to front desk Rosa who was kind to allow me to switch rooms.

★★★★★The hotel has a restaurant/bar with the most wonderful bartender Marisol. I always make sure to take time visit and get a drink when Marisol is working. She makes staying at the san Diego Old Town Court Yard Marriott much more pleasant. Thank you Marisol.

NillThe hotel is nice but the room we had was near construction and the 5 Freeway so some outside noise. The hotel is walking distance to the main street of restaurants. The room we had, there was a slight smell and the bathroom sink didn't drain well. The smell was probably due to the debris in the sink. Not horrible but needed attention. There is a $30 charge to park in the garage. I can understand this on weekends when Old Town is busy but during the week, maybe it should cost less as there is plenty of street parking. Although, this hotel had very limited availability for the dates we stayed but the parking garage was not full. There is a nice bar in the hotel. Unlike some Marriott hotels, breakfast is not included. It is a la carte. Coffee is available though. The front desk personnel were nice and polite.

NillOur second visit to this hotel. It’s a bit outdated though comfortable for sleeping. Breakfast menu is sufficient and was tasty, did not eat any other meals as Old Town is one block away. Rooms could use a microwave as well as a safe. Staff were nice though asking for an additional pillow seemed like an ordeal… never got one! My biggest issue was guests that were permitted to smoke right outside the doors as well as on the property right outside the pool. We could not sit by the pool due to the overwhelming smell of smoke. The guy was 2ft from the pool gate smoking… and hacking up a lung! We’ve enjoyed ourselves but may be moving on to a different hotel on our future visits.
