Candlewood Suites Longmont - Boulder Area by IHG

I checked in to the hotel. The staff was friendly and took care of me pretty quickly. However, once I went up to my room. I laid down on the bed for about 10 minutes. I noticed something moving on the pillow next to my head. I looked to see a bed bug on my pillow. I immediately grabbed all my bags and went back downstairs. I informed the staff of the bed bugs. They were quick to offer me a change of rooms. To which I rejected and simply wanted to stay hotels. They were fine with that and gave me a refund. My co-worker also found bed bugs in his room an hour or so later on a completely different floor. The hotel has an infestation and I would not recommend staying there till they can solve the problem.

We stayed for an agility trial with our dogs and found everything to be accommodating. Each morning we seen someone picking up trash in the lot, not that we seen much. Plenty of pet pickup containers stocked with bags. Very secure with needing your key card for entry, including thru the lobby at night. I did make a dish in the room in the kitchenette and had everything I needed.

I stayed at this hotel for 10 days in December last year with absolutely no complaints. Beware if you book a room at this hotel because they accept State of Colorado vouchers to house the homeless. Be sure and firmly demand that you not be assigned a room next to any of those voucher Occupants or your stay will not be a pleasant one.

Candlewood is lovely. Everyone is very friendly and helpful. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom is great except the toilet is very low to the ground. I recommend this facility for longer stays or even a nice get away for a few nights. The refrigerator is very loud!

Candlewood is great but I originally made the reservation on Black Friday, then cancelled and made it again because the rate dropped even more. Should’ve been all good but rather than $75 a night I was charged $85 a night and didn’t realize it until afterwards because they charge your card each week for the weekly amount and I didn’t do the division to catch the mistake earlier. I’m hoping this can get fixed. I’m staying there again so my next review will reflect if this was accommodated. Overall though I recommend.

Found myself in Longmont when the Arctic Blast hit 🎯 First off! I'm shocked at the price for the location. When I started looking for rooms. I just knew it would be outrageous but no, very reasonably priced!! I used the IHG app to collect points and save em. Anyways, the location of this place was so conveniently placed walking distance to a few restaurants. Literally in the next parking lot! So that was nice! Lastly but most importantly to me was the cleanliness and quiet! Even with all that snow and salt tracking in the front doors all day and night. They did an amazing job keeping it clean and shoe / luggage 🧳 mark free!! House keeping never bothered me but everyday when I changed my keys out they asked if I needed or wanted anything. Everyone was very caring, very nice, very respectful, and this doesn't matter but very pretty people. Everyone had a smile. I also enjoyed the fresh coffee machine with 3 flavors of creamer! The good creamer with the pump!! Overall I felt safe and warm through the storm. I'm thankful and grateful to the team here! Y'all are killin it!

Positive: It was clean and updated. It was also right across the parking lot from the medical facility I had to go to. Negative: There were a couple of trip hazards on the flooring in the room, one of the titles on the kitchenette floor was raised a bit and not level and the transition from the kitchenette to the bathroom was not level and smooth,but was raised a bit.
