Rodeway Inn Waterford - New London

The location is perfect. Close to stores highway and casinos. The rooms are clean. What was not good was the stairs outside to climb to the second floor. The stairs were narrow steep and a bit slippery when wet from rain. We stayed in room 202 and the beds were very high my wife is 5 6’ and she had to climb into bed. The beds for me was very uncomfortable not easy to move around in. I did not sleep well and decided to cut my stay short. My neck knees and back were aching to bad to attempt another night. This could be a preference thing and maybe not all the beds are like the ones in 202.

PLEASE BEWARE. DON’T RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!!! If there was a negative star that is what I would give. Stayed there one night only and it was prepaid for by our party. They then charged my card for a deposit on top of the 2 deposits they already took from my cousin and then charged my card an additional $200 on top of the now $150 they charged between my cousin and I. When I called to let them know they said it was because we smoked in the room. I was literally charged an extra $250 because the cleaning lady saw me smoking in the DESIGNATED smoking CORNER area in the morning when we were leaving. We were outside on the corner in the smoking in the rain ( on the corned in the designated spots) the whole 3 cigarettes we had them whole time we were there. I continued to explain to them we did not smoke in the building and explained that I don’t even smoke in my Own home. Asked them to check cameras both inside and outside room to prove it and they refused and didn’t even listen. I even stated that it was such a small room and if I had smoked that surely the fire/smoke alarms would have gone off at any time. Last time I will ever stay here and I will Make sure to tell anyone I know not to go any where near this place. LIARS AND THIEVES!!!!!

The room we rented several months back wasn't the greatest. Beds weren't comfortable at all. Room in general not very clean. It was a non-smoking room, but we had to open the window at night because it clearly had been a smoking room, and you could smell it lingering. On the plus side, staff is friendly, they have a nice little breakfast and it's a good location. We stayed here back in 2019 and had better rooms then

I recently stayed here for 3 nights. The location is in a quiet and safe area. It also provides easy access to the highway and is close to shopping and other conveniences. The room was very clean and quaint. It came equipped with a kitchenette and small loveseat for lounging. The hotel is older but in excellent condition. The staff here are very polite and accommodating. It's a very affordable spot and offers superior quality. I highly recommend staying here.

The Rodeway in Waterford provided a very comfortable, very clean accommodation at a very reasonable price for our adult family attending a holiday party in the area. The two queen beds were wonderful. The room had a two burner stove top, microwave, sink and a small kitchen fridge (NOT dorm size). The bathroom was just fine. There was not a trace of smoke smell in our room, which is oftentimes a concern with a lower-priced motel in this part of the state given proximity to the Casinos. I don't think you'll find a cleaner, more comfortable room at this price in this part of the state.

Very nice inn. Water pressure was good. Room was spacious and clean. Heat and air worked well. Lots of towels. Staff was nice. Would recommend.

The place was clean and well-maintained. The bedroom part of the room can be bit old but beds are comfortable. The kitchenette and bathrooms are modern. The old guy at the counter was very helpful. We got a bit lost at night finding the place and he guided us on the phone. They have free coffee all the time and take home breakfast like bagels, bread, cookies, fruit cakes etc in the morning from 7-10.

This is a very modest and affordable hotel. Room was clean, good air conditioning, good cable TV to watch, attractive entryways and walkways, very attentive staff, and nice pool. We did have some extremely loud guests above us, and I know the staff spoke to them several times on our behalf to get them to be more respectful. We did almost have to leave due to The Stomping around above us. I'm glad it stopped.
