Travelodge by Wyndham Kingsland GA

After the place next door canceled our reservations without notice it was 11:00 pm and we had no where to stay. We were a party of six with three dogs moving states and had no backup plan. We saw this motel and luckily they had room. The woman at the front desk was so friendly and accommodating. She was extremely cheerful and could tell how stressed I was so she kept me calm and asked about our move and we talked about how exciting it was. The motel isn’t a five star resort but it was clean, and quiet, and comfortable. We were so fortunate to find this place.

Do not book ahead! I booked a room at this Travelodge in Kingsland, through a third party site, the night of December 21st. It has a great location and was pet friendly, which suited us perfectly. We booked as we were driving south while passing Brunswick, GA. By the time we got to the hotel it was 10:10pm and there was no staff in site. We waited over half an hour and weren’t able to see anyone. We went next door to the Super 8 (they were full) and he seemed legitimately surprised. He even called the front desk for us - no answer. After reading many other reviews since then it might be for the best that we lost our $65, but we sure didn’t feel that way at the time. There is a great cluster of hotels north of the 95 where we did eventually find a room that was pet friendly and we were very pleased. There is clearly a reason why this Travelodge has availability when most others do not. The location really was great though!

Booked this hotel with a third party provider about 20 minutes before we got to the hotel. Upon reaching the hotel there was no one to get us checked in at 10:30pm. Everything was completely locked up (but I mist say very well lit!). Because we were so close to the hotel we chose a non refundable room, which the property is holding us to, even though there was no one to check us in. We cannot speak to the cleanliness or any other claims being made by other reviews. We went to the Super 8 next door, the manager there called the front desk for us (Super 8 was full), without success. The hotel has a great location and was advertised as being pet friendly, unfortunately we will never know. Based on our experience we will likely never book with either Travelodge again, or with the third party provider we used.

We stay at a lot of hotels ,storms chasing . We have seen them all. This one is a good hotel. Lots of activity but over all quiet. Rooms clean. I wish it had a rod to hang clothes on . Looks like going through renovations. But no problems with us . Everything is quite nice and I'll definitely stay again.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Sheets and towels were VERY used by someone who was obviously dirty. Floor unswept or mopped found a drug needle on the floor and absolutely stank of cigs. My mom and I stayed here for hurricane Milton and drove to Walmart to buy sheets cleaning supplies sanitizer and candles. I wouldn’t be surprised if we brought back bed bugs or something similar I’m not exaggerating. The only good thing about this place was that the owners are kind people. The online photos are not at all accurate and the 5 star reviews you’re seeing cannot be real.

Terrible. They didn’t offer a refund or compensation. You can read captions through pictures. What you don’t see there - air felt damp. 🤢 AC was off until we turned it on (you have to run it in FL and GA) Humidity… Big condensation spot on the fridge door and the bed felt damp when I sat on it. Officially the worst stay ever - and I don’t say it lightly, because I always prioritise saving money, specially if it’s just to rest during a roadtrip, and therefore have stayed in un-fancy places before. Unfancy is ok, dirty - isn’t. Checked in so late that we didn’t think we had options. In the morning front desk said the room was out of order and was given to us by mistake, but we had already spent the night. Upon discovering the shower handle was MISSING, went to the front desk, but that happened 20 minutes before checkout. Very inconvenient as you’re about to shower and hit the road, but can’t. They gave a new room just to take a shower and specifically asked “not to use the beds or anything”… New room did not have toilet paper, but the “out of order” one - did. So it seems like maybe they give it to people anyways. Plus the “out of order one” had a wet toilet lid when we got there. (It would have dried if it was abandoned. Condensation looks different too)

Worst and dirtiest room I’ve ever stayed. The sheets must have been made and never washed. The fridge was broke and every where you look it is was nasty. I took pictures. I stayed 3 hrs and forfeited my money which I was given no receipt and ended up paying 20 in cash which disappeared. Lessons learned!!! Save yourself the money and don’t bother. Was just passing through on 95.
