Hotel Simone

My husband stayed at Hotel Simone in early January while doing an inspection and some maintenance work at the property. He enjoyed his stay and St. Simon’s Island so much that he thought “I should bring my wife here for our joint birthday weekend”. Upon checking out, he says that he asked for availability for March 1st and reserved a room in person at the front desk. February 28th rolls around and he calls to confirm the reservation before we drive up there, only to find that one was never made and they cannot find record of it in the computer, with no real apology or explanation. Disappointing to say the least.

Cozy and modern at the same time. We had a beautiful suite. It was clean and modern. Staff was courteous and helpful. It was convenient walking to the beach or to the lighthouse/downtown area. The downtown area may be too far for some, but we enjoy that activity, so it was no problem for us. Definitely bookmarked for future stays.

Staff was very nice and accommodating. Room was clean and beautiful. Mini bar was a nice addition but a little pricey. Only reason giving 4 stars is breakfast was not good. Not a good selection at all. Only other complaint is super nice place to stay with very cheap toilet paper!

So Disappointing! I spent several hours researching area. Chose this hotel due to size (only 25 rooms), no children, was expecting a "boutique" experience, intimate, artsy laid back vibe etc. I paid @$250 per rm. Arrived at 9:30 pm exhausted. Had room 100 right by kitchen and staff. @6ish, woke up to noise, banging, talking, laughing, normal kitchen stuff. morning meeting, but when I returned, asked to please be moved to another room. I agreed to pay an upgraded fee. Meanwhile, only a couple cars in private parking and gentlemen who checked me in said always very quiet. Manager refused to move me or give me any concessions. Exhausted, I drove home 7 hrs ! I have no interest in this island after the way I was treated at this hotel. . This experience was worlds apart from my expectations. Keep looking. I am sure there are great hotel experiences on the island. Just keep looking would be my suggestion. Sincerely Nancy

We loved this hotel. It has a decent gym and a great rooftop pool with free towels. It has free bicycles to use, which is one reason we chose to stay here. It also had nice coffee and free breakfast with hot and cold foods. Every worker was super friendly and helpful.

My wife and I stayed for several days and had a great time. The room was clean and we had great service at the desk. Very friendly staff. I forgot something in the room and they were happy to send it to my home address. will absolutely stay again. Thanks for everything Hotel Simone!

This hotel is in walking distance to four amazing restaurants AND you get to take advantage of all the King and Prince amenities as this is a sister hotel. They have bikes that are free with the room and delicious chocolate chip cookies daily. We walked to the beach and enjoyed a relaxing weekend without ever getting in the car! Very nice experience-excellent rooms and service! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful!

Love this hotel ! Only about 25 rooms, covered parking, use of bikes and beach chairs, a short walk to the King and Prince where you can use all the amenities, free breakfast and the nicest hotel staff anywhere. You can walk across the street to CrabDaddys and there’s a terrific microbrewery next door.
