★★★★Little St. Simon’s Lodge is a special place for people who want to experience an immersive nature trip. The island can only be reached by private ferry boat. Multiple daily activities led by very knowledgeable resident naturalists keep you busy. Three meals a day served family style provide you the opportunity to meet your fellow island guests. Some of the most beautiful sunsets imaginable and trip to miles long deserted beach where you can bike on the sand were highlights. The accommodations were rustic but comfortable. Food could use a little upgrade but generally ok. We plan to return!

NillThis place is truly paradise on Earth—a beautifully preserved, naturally untouched island. It's a celebration of nature in all its glory, from the birds and fish to the insects, alligators, frogs, armadillos, and more. If you're fortunate, you can encounter them all. The long stretch of Atlantic Beach offers a perfect view for spotting dolphins and whales, which we were lucky to see nearly every time we biked or walked along the shore. The scenery is stunning at low tide as well. The sunsets are unforgettable, each one unique, capturing its own character and charm. It’s easily one of the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever witnessed. The naturalists on-site were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about their work. Their love for the island made them truly special. The food was a delightful adventure, with each meal offering a surprise—exciting and delicious every time. This experience is a rare chance to step back in time and reconnect with nature. It's undoubtedly one of my favorite islands.

★★★★★This is an amazing lodge and nature experience. Three wonderful home cooked, farm to table meals a day, comfortable accommodations, and the best of custom service. The naturalists provide as much information as you would like. The staff are extremely helpful and accommodating. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun. We enjoyed every minute of our stay and hope to come back.

★★★★★Little St Simons Island is a charming island off the coast of Georgia where the owners have made every effort to return it to its natural ecology. Days are filled with trips led by naturalists who focus on the environment, wildlife, especially birds and tortoises. Quarters are very charming and comfortable. The food is plentiful and excellent.

★★★★★A unique experience in nature - comfortable lodging, good food, excellent naturalist guides to introduce us to the special environments of this special island. A real freedom from television, though wi-fi was a welcome feature. A bit like an isolated (though mosquito-rich) Eden.

★★★★★We loved it here! We had our big summer family vacation here, and it was perfect. We had 16 people from 1 to 70, and it was good for all of us. The setting was beautiful and packed with wildlife: fish, rabbits, snakes, frogs, birds (roseatte spoonbills, painted buntings, and flamingos most notable), deer, armadillos, and raccoons. There was a variety of activities: birding outings, a swimming pool, bikes, beach outings, fishing, and kayaking, all made very smooth and easy with the knowledge and helpful naturalist. Every meal was delicious and made and served by wonderful staff. I hope to be back. Oh, and packing was so easy. They had sunscreen, towels, bug spray, rain gear, beach toys, beach chairs, umbrellas, fishing gear, and most anything you would usually have to lug to a beach vacation.

★★★★★We attended the Bird Migration Program. This unspoiled barrier island is a magical place ! The naturalists and the guest ornithologists were an absolute highlight along with the phenomenal birding. We were well taken care of and enjoyed every aspect of the stay and amenities offered ! Keep in mind this is an aging lodge and buildings so "rustic elegance" is definitely accurate. We did report a torn screen on our slider that hopefully got fixed after we left as he mosquitos are a real menace. The Lodge does all it can to help keep you as comfortable as possible. The mosquito is part of the ecology of the island so plan to just roll with it. The food is good, not gourmet. The bed was adequate. The furniture was worn and dated. The waitstaff could be a little more affable. With that being said, between the fantastic , fun, knowledgeable naturalists and the island itself, with all its flora and fauna, visiting and staying more than makes up for any shortcomings in accommodations and food.

★★★★If you're expecting a luxury resort, this is not for you. The accommodations are nice but rustic. Meals were plentiful and good, but not gourmet. Likewise, the beer and wine were good, but not great. There's an excellent group of naturalists who are eager to share their knowledge and experience with you. Daily activities were interesting. The best part was the other guests who were there. We enjoyed our stay, but once was enough.
