Would definitely stay here again! Location couldn't be more perfect- across from the lighthouse and park and close to the very large fishing pier. Sandy beach is very near - you can walk to it or drive and park. The staff was exceptional and very friendly. Rooms was very clean and beds comfortable. The price was very affordable in this off season. Lovely getaway

Definitely needs an update! We stayed on the first floor and you could hear people walking upstairs because the floor creaked all night. We didn’t get much sleep at all. Minimal hot water. No fan in bathroom so it was musty and damp. No counter space. Minimal parking. Fortunately, we only stayed one night. I would not stay there again! It’s just very old and run down. None of the choices below describe this hotel. It’s definitely not luxurious, high-tech or quiet.

This was our second stay at the St Simons Inn by the Lighthouse. We were in room 217. It's a large room with a nice big bathroom. There is a small balcony which overlooks the pool. The room has a microwave and fridge as well as a charging station for electronics. The bathroom had a huge shower, no tub. Plenty of mirrors throughout the room so no one is waiting to shave or put on makeup, etc. There is housekeeping daily and our room was very clean. The front desk personel are very friendly and helpful. There is a breakfast in the mornings, basic items like yogurt, cereal, a variety of breads and fruits. The coffee machine, which also makes hot chocolate, is available 24 hrs. The building and grounds are well maintained and there is free covered parking. Perfect location, across from the lighthouse and a short walk to the Pier Village and the fishing pier. The only issue we had was it took longer than expected for the water to get hot for a shower. We enjoyed our 3 nights here and would definitely stay here again.

First off, we had a great time and would stay again. The hotel is in a great spot and walking distance to alot of stuff. The staff was extremely friendly and the other hotel guests was very nice as well. The price was great. The rooms aren't 5 star resort status, but overall clean and worth the money. ||The only downside l could think of right off hand are the rooms are older, therfore they aren't insulated well. We often heard people inside the neighboring rooms and people in the hallways. As loud as our family can be, l'm sure they heard us as well.

Great find on our travel south. Old time feel to this Inn with extremely clean rooms, a comfortable large bed and close proximity to several restaurants and a brewery. Staff was friendly and helpful. Fan on air-conditioning can run continuously to cover any ambient noise. Average continental breakfast, extremely tight parking especially for a pickup and a bar of soap and small tube of shampoo (not the bottles of body wash shampoo and conditioner most hotels carry now) were the only drawbacks....but we can live with that for the comfort compared to rate of our 1 night stay.

We stayed in one of the two pet-friendly rooms for 4 nights. Here's my review: Pros: 1. Location - As others have said, the location is awesome. Across the street from the lighthouse and a nice waterfront walkway. 2. Staff - The staff was friendly. 3. Price - It was the only sub $100 a night hotel we found that was pet friendly. Cons: 1. There is no elevator to the pet-friendly rooms. You have carry your bags up to the third floor. After a 10 hour drive and with 70 year old hips and knees, this was a major disappointment. 2. The room was filthy and the furniture and furnishings were well worn. The bed and pillow covers were moth bitten. 3. Breakfast was pretty meager, just carbs and coffee. No juice, fresh fruit or anything else. I'm on the fence whether I'd stay here again.

Thank you Friends for welcoming my two dogs and I to one of the 2 rooms on the top floor for people w pets. Yes, it is clean and pretty with only slight signs that other dog friends have been here such as wearing out the easy chair and ottoman. One thing I missed is having an upright desk to sit at. The room decor is fun and unique. Since it’s raining, I so appreciated parking underneath and taking the elevator up to the first floor with the lobby. The staff is amazing the cute little sitting room, and we are so close to the little park and the walkway looking out to the ocean. If you book this pet room, be ready to walk. Letting the dogs out first thing in the morning was basically down three flights of stairs to plenty of places for them to sniff and be happy. It was raining, but there was still a nice covered edge of the parking platform. Coming back to the room, take the elevator all the way to the first floor, trek alllll the way down the long hall to the 2nd staircase and go up one more set of stairs and into the hall to access both rooms. Cozy and tranquil, esp for our rainy morning. One more great thing about this restaurant they have the best coffee/drink dispenser ever open 24 seven. Yummmm. Simple carb rich breakfast was appreciated. Everything was clean and well presented. I can tell the people here care about giving great hospitality and that means so much when on a pleasure trip. Also, we drove a couple miles north to the public park and beach access. Since it is not summer season, we can let the dogs run on the beach. What a joy that was in the main reason I wanted to stay here.

We have stayed at this hotel 5-6 times before I visit this week. It has always been lovely and the staff friendly and accommodating. This most recent visit was extra special. We live in Asheville and evacuated after Hurricane Helene devastated our town and surrounding areas. I called the hotel to see if we could get a room and spoke with Tina. She explained that they had rooms available and said if I gave her a call when we had an arrival time they would try and have our room ready ASAP. We arrived about Noon and our room was ready. I understood that the hotel had been pretty full the night before but they made our room a priority. I cannot explain how grateful we are for staff and their kindness. The hotel is fairly small and located across from the Lighthouse. Rooms are immaculate , beds are super comfy and includes a small fridge and coffee maker. Location is ideal with shops and restaurants are within easy walking distance We look forward to our next visit.
