NillMy husband and I made a last minute decision to stay at the Hampton Midway before our 6 am flight and I’m so glad we did! The beds are very comfortable, breakfast was great and the shuttle service was stress free. The resort is clean and updated and they have excellent customer care! You can park your car while you’re away. It was very reasonable. We are gold members and appreciate the service given here.

NillWe arrived at the Hampton Inn Midway Airport, and upon arrival, we were not acknowledged at all. The receptionist walked past us, looking up, and then she looked at us for about five seconds and finally said, Are you checking in? So we proceeded with the check-in process. About halfway through the check-in process, we inquired as to the possibility of getting a late checkout. The reception asked how late do you need? We asked, if it's possible to get like a 2 or 3 p.m. late checkout. She then looked at us and said, No. And then I said, Okay, well, how late can you do? She the said, well, noon. And I said, isn't that your normal checkout time? And she said, Yes. I was like, Well, then you are basically telling us you can't do a late checkout. So basically, she asked us and then all along had no intention of helping us at all. So it was a very strange situation. So we went up to the rooms. The rooms lacked laundry bags and luggage racks. They also didn't have any sort of disclosure on the Hilton booking site that their gym was being renovated. So they made an arrangement with the hotel next door who had a broom closet for a gym, with no weights and two cardio machines, one of which was in crummy shape. The next morning, we asked again if there was any possibility of a later checkout because they couldn't do one yesterday. She scoffed at us and said, I can give you 30 minutes, but if you’re later than 30 minutes, I’m gonna charge you for an entire new day. So we took it and just tried to ignore the hostility by threatening another days charge. It was just a really difficult environment at the front desk. I never met anybody who was friendly up there. The day of checkout my coworker tried to call and get her receipt and was hung up on at least three times when trying to get it. So that was a one and done.

NillI enjoyed the look of the room, but it need to not have carpet for the possible doggie accident clean up. I was not informed about the amount of the animal fees per animal. It is $75 per pet and I have three. Breakfast was delicious. The front desk staff was very helpful as the animal fee was prorated to $125 instead of $225. Did I mention I booked with Best Western but stayed at Hampton Inn.

NillWe only stayed for about six hours since we arrived late and had an early flight, but our short stay was a good one. The service was great—friendly and efficient, even with our late check-in. The room was clean and comfortable, just what we needed for a quick rest. Hampton Inn delivered exactly what we expected.

NillDefinitely agree with other recent reviews. Don't even bother staying here. Just walk over to the other hotels. It's cheaper and much better, from the rooms & the staff. First off, the entire place smells like paint. They are renovating the first floor, but you can smell the paint fumes even on the 4th floor in your room. It's so bad. Plus, it's just a mess. Right when you walk in, there are just things everywhere, and a bunch of wet paint signs up. The next thing is, the front desk clerk are just lazy. When we checked in, I believe her name was Yulie (she had glasses on & a European accent) gave us the basic room, even though we paid for the bigger room. We ended up just leaving within an hour because the room was so small (no counter space at all) it was the worst room I have ever been in. And with all the paint fumes, it was just a horrible. We told the Yulie we were checking out 2 days early and that we would just pay for this night (even though we were there for an hour) we just disliked it so much we wanted to be out of there. The lady said we were checked out and we just walked over to the Holiday Inn. Please just go over there, the rooms are updated and very spacious. Go to the next day, I checked the app, and we were still checked in to this hotel. I messaged them, and they said we never checked out, and now we were being charged 2 days for a room we only stayed in for an hour. Again, the front desk lady was just too lazy to even check us out and give us the room we originally paid for. Just all around ridiculous, and to top it all of the exercise room is just a storage room, so if you don't like working out during your stay and getting cancer from the paint fumes, and getting a downgrade to a room you paid for, stay here.....so sad this is how they treat there highest elite members. Don't even bother coming here. Just walk over to the Holiday Inn!

NillI stay at several hotels a week and I am regularly asking for a room change due to less than stellar conditions. If you’re on a budget, the Hampton at the Chicago Midway Airport Hotel Center has just undergone a renovation. It is fantastic. Everything is very clean. Nicely done. Shout outs to Sandra, Monica, & Jona at the front desk!!
