Residence Inn Chicago Midway Airport

Nice enough hotel, love the amenities. The room was a bit small though, especially when you let out the sofa bed. And why is the coffee table so damn heavy? Maybe think about that with the redesign and knowing guests have to move the table to let the bed out each night. Other than that, it was a great stay.

This is a great hotel for the price. Close to the airport. Friendly staff. Recently renovated and clean. They have a workout room, pool and half basketball court. The room was large. Big seating area. Kitchen. Separate bedroom. Comfortable king bed. Nice bathroom.

The customer service is very poor here. My family decided to stay just for a night and when checked in we noticed ants. We asked the front desk for assistance but they only offered to spray the room down at 8pm when have kids in the room and offered no other solution. The second issue was when we went to the front desk to get a key because we forgot to bring it with us when we got breakfast, the representative didn’t try to solve the problem just cause confrontation because the person who reserved the room already left to get on a flight. My brother had to be the one to suggest calling the person to show their ID to get a new key. I think they need to work on customer service here.

The hotel was nice and clean. My family and I had a great time at the pool, and the breakfast was really good. I will be returning again for another family vacation.

There was a dog barking all night long, after 18 hours of international travel! We really needed sleep- apparently the people left their dog in the room alone all night. I asked for some sort of discount since we had a hard time sleeping with a yappy dog barking all night and all the manager, Michelle wanted to offer was a late checkout. We had a flight to catch, so that wasn’t really helpful. Their rules are attached- “maintain a reasonable volume that is not disturbing to others in the hotel” I guess that doesn’t apply to people leaving their dogs in the hotel rooms barking all night long! I informed Michelle I would be doing a charge back. I paid for a quiet room my exhausted family could sleep in and that was not what I received!!

Unfortunately my niece went to the front desk to let them know her room was infested with ants, which crawled on her food and the front desks response was that they could come in and spray poison while my grand niece was in the room for the night. Not the experience we expected at all from what once was a very prestigious Marriott Hotel

Let's start with the location. A breeze to find, near every restaurant you can think off and although it's pretty far from the inner city, it's still a prime location. I believe my original room was a suite with a living room, kitchen and master bedroom. They were oh so kind to upgrade me to a corner suite that was bigger than my original booking! No complaints from me. The suite was beautiful, the kitchen had silverware, including large plates and saucers and glasses! And the ice maker in the freezer was a favorite of mine. Everything was super clean! Loved it! The service was fantastic, the ladies at the desk were always accommodating and did everything with a smile and a positive attitude. It was a pleasure to stay here and will absolutely be returning simply for the turkey sausages at breakfast 😙🤌🏾
