★★★★★This hotel was filled with surprises. Good surprises. Pet-friendly, sumptuous furniture, comfy robes, individual comforters, all in the heart of the Chicago loop. A short walk to TONS of the greatest tourist attractions the city has to offer. You're walking in Chicago architectural history in this building and the service was 5 stars! Free drink at the bar and we met some amazing other folks.

NillThis place was exceptional. Rooms are so clean and shine. Concept about pineapples is so cute 🍍 If you travel with your fur baby this is the perfect place to stay. They treat your pets as it should be. I really enjoyed my days with my doggies here. The staff members are simply adorable. Cassandra made us feel so welcome, she was so attentive to our needs and beyond. We can’t wait to come back again soon

NillStayed just one night at the Staypineapple, but had a wonderful time. Front desk let us check in early, which was an unexpected delight! Room itself was very cozy. Small but spacious at the same time. Bed was comfy. Nice little view. Noise wasn't an issue. A/C worked great. Shower is roomy with decent water pressure. The location is terrific. We were even given two free drinks with our booking. All in all, terrific experience.

★★★★★The hotel was clean, restaurant very nice, rooms were clean and we needed everything and staff was very nice, attentive and helpful. I recommend this hotel to everyone. The internet wi-fi didn’t work but the front desk informed everyone and refunded the resort fee to compensate. Two free drinks as a welcome gift is a nice touch. Very memorable experience

NillA perfect respite for a winter Chicago getaway, that we felt went above and beyond given the price. Everything went smoothly and the varied amenities truly enhanced our trip. To shout out a few: first and foremost, the two-duvet bed was INCREDIBLY comfortable to the point where we actively ditched evening plans to lay in the bed. We utilized the free bicycles all the way to Lincoln Park without a hitch (thank you to the staff for pumping up the tires), and the welcome drinks were a generous touch and the perfect kickoff to our first night. We LOVED the comfortable robes and the reusable water bottle came in very handy. We also really appreciated the staff's help in storing our bags after checkout. The building itself is also very beautiful and particularly interesting if you're into Chicago architectural history. The only cons: the elevators were slow and a bit loud, there was no in-room fridge. Also, the word "naked" appeared more frequently than probably any other building I've ever been in, but if that's a con for you perhaps you shouldn't be in the city at all. We will definitely be back here and recommend for staying short or long term in Chicago.

NillI originally gave 3 stars because even though my room sucked the bed was comfortable and it seemed like I just got unlucky. But I’m reducing my rating to 1 star because after checking out they sneakily charged me an extra $30 for an “amenity fee.” I called and explained that at check in they took my credit card for a “deposit” for “incidentals” and never mentioned an amenity fee and they said too bad, can’t refund it. I asked them to check with a manager and explained that my bathroom had smelled like smoke as well, and they said too bad, should’ve asked for a new room, manager says we still can’t refund it. This is a bull shit hotel with bull shit customer service and sneaky tactics. See below for my original review with details on what was wrong with my room (and don’t stay in room 308). I’m giving 3 stars because this seemed like a good hotel overall and I got a good last minute deal on it. But it’s definitely not a 4 star hotel and I got really unlucky with the room they put me in. If they assign you to room 308, request a different room. The bathroom smelled like a chain smoker. They had some kind of a portable fan blowing in there so they must’ve known something was wrong with it. I also saw a few black hairs in the shower and on the towels which was very unsettling. The mini fridge was not cold enough even though I turned it all the way up and I needed it to keep milk fresh for my baby. All that said, the bed was very comfortable and I slept well. I see the manager responds to reviews on here so I’m not sure why they blew off my concerns and modest request for a small refund but I’d appreciate talking to a manager directly to get that amenity fee refunded. It’s not a large amount but it’s the principle of it. If you read my review and then read the managers reply you can clearly see they didn’t read my review or take my concerns seriously. This is very poor management.

NillSuper friendly staff. Modern hotel with some eclectic design. I couldn't rate the room 5 stars because of things like inconvenient plugs or the bathroom was worn and the state of towels was a bit random. In the restaurant whilst the service was excellent, the menu was limited and no thought for vegetarians or vegans. No alternative options other than to have meals without the meat. Totally 1980s. In terms of location, yes in the loop and next to department stores etc but all the good restaurants are in west loop or north of the river. Lots of metro options but the public transport isn't the most convenient. Overall though a nice stay, comfy beds and wonderful staff.

NillStunning hotel with beautiful views and excellent location. Service was awfully inept, helpfully unhelpful. Or should I say they were polite but practically unable to do anything of note. No amenities, or rather, basic amenities for the price. No hotel slippers, no bathroom toiletries. The “everything button” or front desk barely helped with anything, I ask for housekeeping on the 4th day of my stay at noon and nobody comes. They supposedly have “streaming” or the ability to cast from your phone apps, but it “doesn’t work”. Not anymore. I’m not sure if this is just how things are in America these days, but if it wasn’t for the Black Friday deal, I would have thought it was vastly overpriced for what I was getting. Now, I just feel that while I enjoyed the stunning view I had, the comfortable bed and the beauty of the hotel, it could have been better. In room coffee machine worked, but they forget to replace my glasses when they do come. At least there is a tap for drinking water in the lobby. I’m glad I came, but you’d have to pay me to make me come back. So I guess I wouldn’t come back.
