Excellent location for what we needed. Easy in and out walking in the city. Kind and friendly staff; breakfast and happy hour were nice. Clean and quiet rooms, they kept up with the weather-salt and water in the front area. Fitness Center was perfect-water and towels provided. We arrived very early via the train just wanting to drop our bags; however, they got us in a room quickly. Check out was quick. Thank you for a lovely stay. Would love to come back and stay for the marathon.

What a lovely hotel. The staff so warm and welcoming. The room's were amazing, so much space. Lovely bathroom and shower. Happy hour at the bar is such a welcome thing, 2 free drinks for the two hours it's available. The gentleman at the bar so nice and friendly. Breakfast was a revelation. We are British and a continental breakfast here is totally different but we loved every morning. Highly recommend staying at the Kinzie - When we return to Chicago in the future, we will only be booking to stay at one hotel!

Always greeted with a smile. Lani is such a joy to see whenever we are checking in. The staff, comfortable beds, and always a super clean room at Kinzie. Lani took great care of us as I booked my room for the wrong date and she made accommodation for us. I highly recommended staying at The Kinize!

My family and I were looking for an overnight stay in Chicago and I came across Kinzie hotel. I called ahead of time before driving to Chicago and spoke to the front office manager Abdiel Cruz. I told him my family and I have prayer times for our religion and was trying to make arrangements for check out. I was met with a very kind, considerate, and accommodating attitude. It made my father and I really happy to not have to worry about how we would take care of our prayers close to check out time. The hotel was very clean, the double queen room was spacious for our experience. The front desk staff, breakfast staff, and managers all were on the same page with their kind and positive energy. Even when we checked in at night time and there was a staff shift change, they all maintained the ability to make their customers feel welcome. They are also willing to do what they can to help you with certain circumstances. I personally have not left a review for a hotel before but I felt compelled to write one for Kinzie Hotel after how kind they were. I would definitely rebook if I have to come back to the area in the future!

I've stayed at the Kinzie off and on for at least ten years, maybe longer. During my most recent stay, the staff was professional and friendly as before. The common areas looked good, but simple things like infused water in lobby are gone. Small touches make a difference, and these are mostly gone. I would now describe this as just a value 3 Star hotel, and not the nicer experience and more of a 4 star experience that I remember. My recent stay was disappointing in a few ways. The bed linens were minimal, the comforter layer was so thin and did not provide much warmth, and the room was cold. No matter how high we set the thermostat it blew mostly cool air into the room. It would take a long time to warm up even just a little. The wall panel control would not allow us to turn it off or to lower the fan. The towels were thinner too. There was a stain on the couch cushion that was quite noticeable. The hotel charges a $25 "nightly service" fee to I assume cover the "complimentary" happy hour and breakfast. The happy hour reception had ok selections of beer and wine, but the snacks are now stale popcorn and stale pretzels. The free breakfast buffet was mediocre, probably about average for a hotel with a free breakfast buffet included in the stay, I'd compare it to a free breakfast at a Hampton Inn. I remember during previous stays that the happy hour reception and breakfast buffet had better snacks and food choices. The happy hour before included cheese, crackers, veggies and dip. There was also a time when the happy hour had tokens and you could use two tokens for a mixed cocktail. I have no idea how many years ago that was, it was probably before the pandemic. My last stay before this was October 2023, and I can't recall being so disappointed or I would not have booked this recent stay. I won't return unless I can see an ownership change or a management company change, and others with recent stays include details in their reviews that the things I list here have been improved upon.

Excellent location. Close to the fun river area. Across the street from the lively STK restaurant where I entertained clients. Friendly staff offering top notch hospitality. Competitive pricing. Very clean rooms. I look forward to returning soon.

Nice accommodations in great location. Family trip for New Years. We stayed at a nearby luxury hotel for one night and stayed at the Kinzie for the next 2 nights. Comparable experience for half the cost. Breakfast and evening reception were a plus. Nice break from the usual chain stays. Very clean. Friendly and genuinely welcoming staff. Only downside the laundry storage was across from our room so alot of noise from those big bins and the breakfast room was a few doors down so the morning crowd noise woke our daughter up. Loved the couch window seat. Decent view. New Year's fireworks were visible from our room.

Perfect location in downtown, good size neat and clean rooms with the provision of TV and small fridge. The staff was very kind. Breakfast was included, they have happy hour in the evening. All attractions are within walking distance so there is no need for a car. For a corporate booking sometimes parking is included (please double check with the hotel) otherwise valet parking is really expensive. It is a pet friendly place.
