Holiday Inn Express Chicago O`Hare

Highly recommend this affordable, clean, and convenient hotel. Check in was very smooth and staff were quick and helpful, no unnecessary explanations about how to open my door! Also, the restaurant in the hotel was delicious. I’ll come back for sure!

I stayed here for nine days on a work trip, superb location if you don’t mind a little noise, and I enjoyed being able to watch planes land from my window. Service was amazing.

The hotel was great! We took a family trip to go to the AllState Arena which we planned to walk to. The walk was only a 3 minute walk honestly and almost all sidewalk which ai was worried about. The only complaint I had was that the pool was cold BUT the kids didn't care. The breakfast was great, the website said omelets but honestly it was great without even for our picky eaters. Hotel was fairly quiet, barely heard a plane and that's just when we were by the window. Temperature control was amazing, Staff super friendly, great rec center. Good water pressure and nice shampoo and soap. Comfy and pillows were adequate but we like thick and firm.

The employees behind the front desk are full of compassion, kindness and professionalism. I really needed that when I arrived here with my toddler extremely late lastnight from the airport. We encountered many flight delays, my husband missed the connecting flight due to the delays. I arrived exhausted after a full day of traveling, handling large luggage solo, car seat and a toddler that asks “why” every 30 seconds. As we stood queue at the front desk, my daughter began to shake from the cold outside. Our little NC jackets were completely disrespected by this Chicago cold, wind, rain lol. As I’m trying to warm her up the manager steps in, a gentleman with a gray suit and glasses, offers his suit jacket. Then proceeds to have a small talk conversation as you would with kids. After that this establishment completely won me over. That small interaction made all the difference for me and prompted this review. The facility, bedroom, bathroom are all clean; no weird smells in the hotel or bedroom itself. That water from the shower is nice and hot! The beds are very comfortable. I feel very safe here with my daughter. It is not far at all from the airport. The staff is just wonderful and represents the brand so well. The room was so nice my toddler caught her third wind, we caught our third wind. I don’t know why the ratings on Google are not higher for this hotel, so here’s my contribution to make a change. The only negative I have is my child caught her third wind after being so amazed with the bedroom. That’s a me problem. Thank you so much!

ANY establishment that ropes you in with one rate and then forces you to pay for basic amenities once arriving is a joke. Parking is $18. Whats next? Paying for toilet paper? Paying for bed sheets? Paying a “convenience fee” for the lobby restaurants? Florida resorts have charged me for these things and IL is headed in that direction. It’s just a really shady way of doing business.

I've read all of the other reviews and have to say we had an absolutely perfect stay here over Thanksgiving 2015! We stayed for four nights and had great room-- no weird smells, carpets were clean, beds were pretty firm but slept well. Two pillow options (Soft and Firm) available. I am a pretty light sleeper but never woke up once from any noise (including the airport) Breakfast rotated slightly from day-to-day but always found something that even our picky kids ate! Parking was free-- front desk was very friendly (I forgot various toiletries and they provided for free) Pool was clean- kids really enjoyed the smaller kids pool! I thought it was broken but push the red button- wait 10 seconds and the fountains start! Pool was never crowded. Nice open large lobby and wide hallways. Great space and would stay here again without a second thought!

Location was okay. It's conveniently right next to the airport with free shuttles running every 30min. The hotel is starting to look and feel dated. The small rooms have the bar bones for those staying one or maybe two nights and not expecting to eat in the hotel. No minifridge, no safe, no microwave. Staff seemed sparse which made service during busy times slow. Otherwise, the stay was good and service was good. I have no complaints... well, other than the drunk wedding party that pulled the alarm at 2:30am, but that's not the fault of the hotel.

We arrived on a Thursday evening for a quick stay before our early morning flight. The front desk attendant was friendly and assigned us a room promptly. The foyer atmosphere was warm and inviting. Our room had two comfotable queen beds. The bathroom could've been cleaner but overall the room was clean. My family of four enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend if you want to save a few bucks on your stay if you need an airport shuttle with a pay to park pass.
