Super 8 by Wyndham South Holland

Pros: reasonably priced, very polite and pleasant interactions with the front desk, the room had hot water and a bed. no issues with the other guests. Cons: the room condition was genuinely alarming. the whole building smells like cigarette smoke despite the no smoking policy. cigarette burns through the sheets, mysterious stains, you name it! borderline inedible “continental” breakfast. just really not somewhere I’d stay again, even at the price point.

So far 3 star motels have a lot to improve on, but can’t blame owners on cutting corners to remain profitable with the current economic challenges. But I must say, both the night (4/29/25 and with the day (4/30/25) clerks were the nicest and most helpful employees I have met from this chain of motels. My room was clean and the bed comfortable, but their willingness to help made it a great experience

The staff were nice but the motel itself was very poor. The smell of the hotel room was bad, but I cannot quite describe the smell itself. The room had a lot of dust and the bed sheets were damaged. The breakfast was very disappointing. I wouldn’t call it a breakfast but “very light refreshments”. I wouldn’t recommend going to this motel if you have other options available.

My initial visit was great and I gave them a good rating I had earned enough loyalty points for a Free night. This time upon check-in the young lady at the Desk said you have been "Red Flagged" by Our other Hotel. I just said okay and left peacefully. I noticed they Cancelled my Reservation but did not return my 15000 Loyalty points. I did not know this world was so bitter and dark! They intend to brutalize me to teach the Lesson! I guess some believe in the God of Forgiveness and Others believe in Vigilante Unity. I've moved on! But just so you know when Booking Hotels or Motels: Check Ownership, History, Family Ties and Lines. It makes a difference as to whether you are valued as a human being or not!

I always enjoy my stay at this location. The staff remembers me on site. The food is great and they let you pick your room .this is especially helpful

This is a great value. Modern TV with lots of cable stations. Clean bathroom and quality towels and toilet paper. The best amenity is the unit heating. You can literally spoil yourself

Didn't give it enough time to have a true experience. The homeless smoking dude hanging outside, stains all on the floors, broken elevators, stains on bed sheets, and grungy blankets sent me right back to check out and a refund.
