Motel 6 Urbana, IL

I'll be honest with you. They work with me when I barely get enough money, but they're very, very reasonable people. I appreciate them. Looked out for me every time they live you alone. You don't have to worry about them being on nosy safety first, but overall, they've, they have helped me, my sister, out a few times they're really, really good people. Thank you, the Mexican

First night was good, service was great, managment very nice.Loved the fact I could bring my kitten to stay and wasnt charged a rediculous fee wasnt charged at all. Then started to itch and found bedbugs. Samenight my husband had one straight crawling on his arm. Had to wait in same room til managment came on. Finally moved us didnt offer anything else. Moved to new room and that night bam bedbugs again called front desk was toldhave to wait for management, was made to stay in room for 11 hrs getting ate up cause we had nowhere to go. The morning the manager called room said we brought them in cause none where found in other room and he will give full refund. Only we have to go he only refunded 1 night and deposit. full refund i should have gotten refunded for my whole stay. Was told it was no smoking was made to read 2 page form over the rules, but Pot smoke is ok. Fighting in hallways wasnt great experience.

I've stayed here twice over the way-high-priced UIUC Fathers Weekend. This Motel 6 is very clean and the staff is friendly and accommodating. If you've stayed at a decent Motel 6, this is right there with them. Do NOT expect any frills, but there were a few commercial-free TV channels and that's a bonus you don't usually get with other more expensive properties. Also, for breakfast they had fresh bananas, mandarins, granola bars, packaged muffins and cookies, coffee, bottles of water...it was not bad at all. Unless I can get a better deal next year at another property I'll stay here in 2025... so I guess that tells you something about this property.

I haven't had a problem with motel 6 before until today. I booked a reservation to check into my motel at 3pm. I called to see if I could check in early only for her to tell me to cancel my reservation (claims I smoked in a nonsmoking room) I never smoked in a nonsmoking room I don't even smoke. The woman otp including the manager told me to cancel my reservation even though I stated I was fleeing a dv situation before I even asked about my reservation and everything. I've stayed at motel 6 multiple times and neither time did I ever smoke in the room, they were never dirty after I left, they didn't have to do much cleaning bc I did it all before I would leave. What they don't tell you is that they don't always clean the rooms therally, people leave things in the rooms/in the fridge/burn marks on counters/ashes on floors and sometimes they even leave clothes or belongings that's what I noticed when I first checked into the room but I was exhausted and just needed a good night's rest so I didn't think anything of it but why is there burns and ashes in a nonsmoking room? And then to try to say I'm the one who was smoking when I deliberately came down and asked why there was a burning smell in the room as soon as I checked into the motel is wild and crazy. I use to love the motel 6 until they became sloppy, the woman at the front desk doesn't even look like she's mentally capable of even doing her job, she seems ill, like she can't comprehend anything, she looks almost like she has something medically wrong with her and literally has to ask the manager for help constantly and he checks on her constantly as she's doing her job making sure she's remembering what to do like she doesn't know what she's doing and she's worked there for years (no judgement) but after today this will be my last time ever making a reservation or stay at the motel 6 in Urbana IL. They've cancelled my reservation previously without me cancelling it myself. When I asked if I could come anyways instead of cancelling my reservation today she said and these were her words "cancel it you can't stay here" and there was no proof to what they were saying. Mind you when I checked in the multiple times I have stayed at this motel there was always something wrong with the room whether it was a stain, burn or just someone leaving something messy or uncleaned. Then I would have multiple knocks on the door through out the night, through out the late morning and it wasn't room service or housekeeping nor the front desk cause I called and asked them about it. I ask that you do better and try not to discriminate idk if this is a racial issues or not but to assume and point blame at me when I'm the one paying and I KNOW THE RULES OF A NON SMOKING ROOM is so messed up I feel like if it was someone less black this wouldn't of been a problem.

Nothing fancy, but functional. Very quiet. Gave me an isolated room facing the sun. Very nice the next day. Shower heat was a little flaky, but not a deal breaker. Once it was hot, it was hot.

Could not think of a more dismal place to stay. Booked a non-smoking room. The room smelled so terribly of cigarette smoke was an instant headache for myself and my family. The front desk argued that “no one had stayed in the room”. Refused to give us a refund after being in the room for less than 30 minutes. Underage drinkers all over the parking lot puking and littering everywhere. Avoid at all costs. Do not give them your business.

I absolutely love motel 6. They have gone to the very top to help me feel at home and welcomed and like I'm part of the family at motel 6. They have done everything they could to make it affordable for me and comfortable motel. 6. Has great staff better friendly and caring and their rooms are clean. The bathrooms are clean and you get housekeeping everyday. They are pet friendly. Live right off the highway. There are fast food, restaurants all around and two gas stations including one right next door and the Dollar general right down the road. All in all if I stay at the motel 6 and Urbana was amazing and I would continue you to go over and over again! 5 stars
