I accidentally booked this hotel for the second year in a row. Pulling in the parking lot, I debated on leaving before we even checked in. However, it was late, and I didn’t. The room had bed bugs. The staff was told, and they did switch my room. We were switched to a room that didn’t have a working toilet. At that point it was midnight, we stayed and left first thing in the morning. I drove home to Illinois with over 100 bites on me (the staff confirmed) Coming home I had hundreds of dollars in medical bills because I had an allergic reaction. Not to mention, all of the laundry I had to do as well as having my car detailed. I called and the owner told me it wasn’t his problem they provided a room, the bill stands. I called the health department and reported them because no one should have to go through what I did. I would avoid this place at all costs. I forgot to mention the advertised breakfast is non existent.

Stayed here recently and the room was clean, the breakfast was garbage but the price of the room was great! The bed was fine unless you’re used to high quality mattress. I would suggest brining your own blankets cause the blankets suck BUT over all I would stay here again! Great price too!

Avoid at all costs. A plumbing fixture forcefully detached from the toilet and knocked over and flooded my father-in-law's expensive medications from the bathroom counter. Took hours for the front desk to get ahold of the manager, who asked for documentation from a pharmacist that the inhalers, pills etc. needed to be disposed of, which we did right away - fine. That was early August. Since then, they haven't responded to any of our E-mails, and the desk people keep saying the manager will call us back and she never does. No refund, no reimbursement for meds which cost more than the two hotel rooms. The folks who are there in person are stretched way too thin, I blame the management. Awful. Reflects badly on the whole Best Western brand.

Our room smelt musty & smokey upon arrival. Carpet in room was so gross we didn’t take socks or shoes off the entire time. Bathroom had holes in walls and paint chipping everywhere. Shower drain was lifted and looked like it had never been cleaned. Bed was noisy and awful pillows. Did not sleep well at all. Breakfast: orange juice was not orange and smelled like mouth wash, coffee was gross Hotel common spaces: broken glass door leading to guest rooms, dirty stairs to get up to second floor. Overall, not impressed with the quality and cleanliness. Close to highway was the only convenience to head to a wedding in Amana.

One ice machine for the whole place and it was out of service. Shower curtain liner was disgusting. Shampoo was left from last guest and partially used. Worst Best Western we have stayed at!

The location of this place is great. There are plenty of places to eat within walking distance. That's the extent of what makes this place even a three star. The deadbolt was extremely difficult to lock. The tub had no anti-slips to prevent falls, so if you choose to go, be very careful when taking a shower. The toilet was difficult to flush. Housekeeping continued to come to our room at very inconvenient times even after we said we didn't need anything. It was almost as if they heard my husband and I playing married games and wanted to interrupt. The swimming pool was unavailable for maintenance the first night, and that was fine but the next day when we went swimming, we noticed that most of the jets that keeps the water moving were not working and the smell of chlorine was almost unbearable, the only plus side to that was no one else wanted to be in the small room so we had it to ourselves. It didn't seem as though they did any real maintenance at all. The front desk service was mid, as we got checked in fine, but checkout was a bit stressful. First, there was no one there to check us out, then when the guy did come, he acted like I was bothering him and didn't take my room card and didn't give me a receipt. I watched my card for extra hotel charges for about a week just to see if they would try charging us for an extra day. Although it didn't happen, it was a very uncomfortable feeling. Oh,I almost forgot. It advertises free breakfast, but they only had very watered-down juice with no flavor and some kind of flavorless muffins and dried up oranges. This place was a sure stay in name only but not in quality and service. We won't be staying there again when we visit Ceder Rapids.

I recently stayed at SureStay and was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional service provided by the hotel staff and the willingness to go above and beyond to ensure my comfort. thanks to the friendly front desk personnel who made me feel welcome and attended to all my needs promptly. Throughout my stay, every staff member I encountered was professional, courteous, and attentive. Housekeeping did a fantastic job maintaining my room, ensuring it was spotless and well-stocked with essentials.

Parking lot full of trash. Our back entrance had trash going up steps. Common area carpet, stairwell were very dirty. No way of securing our room door from inside. Broken towel rack. TV only had local stations. Breakfast was minimal and cold. Cheap plates and plastic cutlery. 1 plus, our bed was comfortable! Not Best Western quality. I was there from July 24-25 . If you want me to reply to you the owner please tell me how. Checked out this morning.
