Courtyard by Marriott Omaha East/Council Bluffs, IA

We recently stayed at the Courtyard By Marriot in Council Bluffs, Iowa right next to the Mid-America Center where we attended the USA National Heartland Duals Wrestling Championships. The location could not have been better. The room was very nice, clean, and quiet. We ate at the Bistro in the lobby several times and although the menu isn't large, the food was good and the service was great. Even the coffee provided in our room was excellent. We really liked Kenny, the Front Desk Manager. Every interaction we had with him was fun and he went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.

Stayed here for one night. It's the best Marriott I have stayed in. The entire facility is modern, very clean, and the staff is friendly. The pool was a little cold, but it was a very nice space. The workout room is really great - great selection of equipment, all in working order, and it's a clean, big space. We ate breakfast at the Bistro, the food was good and the service was excellent. Can't say enough about how great this hotel is, spent last summer traveling with my son for baseball and stayed at plenty of terrible ones. Wish we were staying longer. We will definitely stay at this Marriott if we are in this area again.

Room was clean, ordered food from Bistro, Marguerite flatbread was basically cheese pizza. No mozzarella. Used cheddar and Monterey jack. Dried basil on 2 pieces and flatbread was doughy. Not crispy

I wanted to share a review because I am now out $400. When you go to their website to book, they deceive you into "Pre-Pay and Save" option. Basically they charge less per room, charge you up front, then don't allow you to change or cancel the reservation. They just keep the money. Sure seems convenient. I'm coming out here for a business trip, I don't want to spend all day sorting out fine print crap. Give me a room, let me get me work done, and I want to go home.

It was just what we needed - in a great location! All staff were thoughtful and courteous during our stay. Especially shuttle drivers Steven(not the cook) and Mr Bob! The shuttle is first come first serve but can take you to / from airport and to local eateries - we enjoyed Quaker Steak and the Porch. Pleasant stay (hotel was full but staff managed to keep up with the crowd!) Breakfast for our large group was a bit hard to manage flow / process wise - but was a tasty option that changed daily!

Terrible experience my first room was not cleaned at all and the second one was poorly cleaned. My coworker had the same experience on the same stay. We will not be staying here ever again. Room cleaners are lazy and not doing their job. I stay in hotels everyday of my life this Is the worst experience I've had room cleanliness wise.

I changed my stay on the Marriott website from two nights to one night two weeks before my check in date. At check in I was told it “wasn’t seen on their end” so it will not be “honored”. I was charged for an extra night I didn’t need because of a technical glitch. The woman working the desk was rude and did not handle the situation with any respect for customer care.

We were here for a cheer comp 2 months ago and things just felt different, like maybe the section just wasn’t the same. The bar tender was still great the feel was just different than a few months prior. Still enjoy the atmosphere, and the location is great for the comp, just wish the bar was up to the prior standard.
