The place was clean, and nicely furnished. Staff was cordial. The pool was clean and on the cool side. Fitness room only had 2 pieces of equipment in working order, while the others needed fixing. Continental Breakfast presentation was appealing, fresh, and staff supervising to ensure all was completely stocked.

The service was very good, and the rooms were clean. However, we felt very unsafe and the environment was not the best. It wasn’t anything the staff could’ve prevented, it was more of the other guests and the eerie feeling we had. If it wasn’t just me and my boyfriend who are fairly young, I think we would’ve been fine, but we ended up staying somewhere else after walking around the property.

I don't usually give reviews but when a hotel truly goes out of their way to make sure their guests have an excellent experience, I am going to mention it. From the friendly and welcoming staff, to the easy check-in, to the clean, comfy, modern and spacious room, I knew I had chosen the right hotel for my 2 night stay. It was a weekend and the hotel was nearly full but still very quiet and accommodating in every way. The pool was immaculate and warm, after getting in a workout in their fitness center. Breakfast was delicious and many hearty and so many fresh yummy choices. This property and it's personnel know what they're doing and it shows. Many Thanks to the folks at Best Western at Crossroads of Council Bluffs for your superior service and accommodations.

Love this hotel. The pool is warm! The rooms are clean! Love most the staff. Great location. Price is right. Ofelia is the fun sweat lady at breakfast. She keeps us coming back. She is such a hard worker and so good to all the guests. She is there every time we have visited and we can see she loves her job. Ofelia is the heart of that hotel. ❤️

For a trucker. The jacuzzi is so much help for a tired back. Update... The bed has a big dip in the middle. It hurts my back so much. It's not worth the room. I saw a big indoor pool. I don't know if it's open. I saw construction. The lobby is huge with room for business. Next to the pilot. But it has its own truck parking. Fridge and microwave for man cooking. Laundry is big upstairs for man wash. I saw no bugs.

Not impressed. Not good for families. Save your money and stay somewhere else. The staff isn't friendly and the rooms that have the indoor pool outside the window are very noisy. The pool is supposed to close at 11pm which is way too late for people that want to sleep. It's very loud. If they enforced the 11pm rule, that would be one thing...... But they do not enforce the 11pm rule. At 11:15 there were still 15+ screaming kids and loud adults in the pool and pool area. I had to get out of bed and go talk with the front desk attendant and ask what time the pool closes, already knowing the answer. She said at 11pm. I said well it's now almost 11:30 and it's still occupied and we are trying to sleep. She was completely oblivious and acted like I was being annoying by asking about it. The breakfast was less than decent. Coffee was burned. Food was barely warm. I just ate cereal. Not impressed. I will never stay here again. My daughter had a dance competition we had to get up at 5am for so we needed a good night's sleep. You won't get that if you stay here. The roof leaks all over in the pool area, water dripping from melting snow on the roof. It's very dated, stuck in the 90's and needs a lot of work to be a nice hotel. Live and learn I guess. Just trying to save others from having such a bad experience. I complained to the front desk but she didn't seem to care. No apology. Just shrugged her shoulders, oh well. If you have a lot of things to get to your room, you'll have to haul it all up the stairs. No elevator. I mean we are more than capable, but it's very inconvenient. We didn't know that until we checked in and asked where the elevator was..... Good luck if you choose to stay here. I just had a very bad experience.

Room 135 (same room twice) They put me in this same room twice within two months apart. The first time I noticed the floor was not completely swept clean, as there was a paper clip and a penny found under the ottoman when I moved it. The bathroom sink drain piece was not attached and just sitting there loose on top. The smoke detector was inside the top dresser drawer. These were mentioned upon check out. The hallway is right near the pool and laundry, which made it very muggy and humid. This week I requested to not be placed by the laundry room and the front desk lady reassured me that they had NO laundry on their first floor (she lied to my face). She put me in the same exact room as I was in the time before! Even gave me a paper map to show me where my room was. This time the handle was missing from the top dresser drawer and I was curious and was able to open it and found the smoke detector still inside of it. Tested it and with no surprise it didn't work. Took a video of the walls in the room with no smoke detectors and this is violating a safety code. I left it on top of the dresser and made my complaints with the front desk upon checking out again. Other than this the bed was comfortable as were the pillows. The toilet had a slow flush, the sink was still not fixed and the tub needs some help, as I think it has a constant drip from the spout and just looks unpleasant to take a bath in. Please do better Best Western in Council Bluffs. I've stayed at other Best Western hotels and this one has been such a disappointment.

Positive: The rooms had recently been remodeled and the television was much bigger than most hotels. I also liked the decor of the sitting areas in the hotel. Negative: The outsiden of this hotel would not be one I would pick if it hadn't already been booked.. Also there was construction going on in the pool area.
