Motel 6 Council Bluffs, IA - Omaha East

So I booked online.I get here to Check-in it.Ask me when booking online.What time I would Check-in?It gave me options.One of the options was between 1 PM and 2 PM.So I selected said option I get here at 1:49pm told I have to wait till 3 fine whatever get my room no microwave for refrigerator I paid more online to have a room with a microwave and refrigerator go back to the front desk. Lady gives me attitude fine. Give me a cheaper rate. I can't do that. She says because you booked online. Then give me the room. I booked and paid for finally get into the right room with a microwave and refrigerator only to use the bathroom. Flush the toilet to see water stewing out from under the toilet pictures posted. I thi didn't go to get ice ice machine. Don't work only one ice machine for a building with 3 floors. So not only do you charge me $60 a night for a room with a leaky toilet after getting the right room in the first place, not being able to Check-in when suggested and now no ice. Guy at the front counter tells me if I want ice go buy it from the gas station.Never again, Motel 6.Do better or charge less note it won't let me post pics of toilet leaking. O and almost forgot have to leave the lights on for TV to work

It's a good clean cheap room. Close to some restaurants. Nothing fancy my TV did not work and no shampoo provided. But bet was comfy slept n left

The location of this hotel is perfect for anyone. Tons of shops all around. Rooms are small but clean. Service is very good, staff are super friendly and professional. There's 2 washers and 2 dryers for guests $2.75 each. One minor detail is there seems to be no hot water in the mornings. Other than that everything is great.

This place was disgusting. The hallway smelled like pot. There were cigarette butts all over outside. The shower was so nasty and dirty that we did not use it. There was something on the bathroom wall that was brown and appeared to be feces. The microwave was dirty. None of the lighting in the room worked other than a fluorescent lightbulb over the TV. I have never stayed anywhere that was as gross as this place.

Overall clean, some noise but didn't effect sleep, bed wasn't very comfy, ice maker didn't work, no battery in smoke detector, no phone in room (had my cell ph), plenty of hot water, room was smoke-free as requested, never used pool but they had one, never used washer/dryer but they had them (uses coin or card), had vending machines, had wifi, had elevator & stairs, polite staff. Nice Mexican Restaurant next door, TA truck stop across the street. Casino 3 miles away, many places to eat within half a mile.

Lady at check-in was very nice. We were given a room with a broken fridge and a dirty microwave. She offered us to look at another room and the heater was totally broken with missing pieces and door to the restroom would not open without hitting the toilet seat. The whole motel smelled of marijuana terribly and nothing my granddaughter should be smelling or any children there. We decided not to stay and asked for my cash refund as I paid in cash and have credit card on file. I have yet to get my money back and have been given the run around every time I have called. One lie after another. Will NOT recommend and would be ashamed to be employed there. Will be bringing KETV Investigates to this location so they can see this run down , corrupt place. I worked in the Motel business for over 5 years, NEVER did we treat a guest like this who decided not to stay. They should be ashamed and should accommodate their guests regardless of whether they stay or not! EXCUSE ME SIR!!!! WE DID NOT STAY, WE LEFT AND THEY HAVE REFUSED TO REFUND ME MY 80.00 CASH PAYMENT!!!! AFTER YOU LIED AND GAVE ME THE RUNAROUND ABOUT IT!!!!! THIS IS NOT OVER!!!

We are currently staying the night at the Motel 6 in Council Bluffs, IA. We are traveling back from the holidays and are exhausted and needed to stop. We have stayed at motel 6s before and only had a problem at one other location (marshalltown, IA). Upon check in the parking lot was filled with trash, broken glass, etc. Having worked in hospitality and lodging, I know it can be hard to maintain more public areas like a parking lot so we continued inside. Unfortunately, our room was filthy. The surfaces are stained and sticky. There is what looks like dried tobacco spit on the floor. The desk chair and bed frame have sharpied symbols all over them. The towels are stained and possibly not even washed at all. The room reeks of smoke. At this point we’ve brought our pet, our 7 year old, and all of our stuff up 3 flights of stairs. We are too exhausted to do it in reverse and find another place to stay and fight to get a refund tonight. Furthermore, when we got into bed (at this point our child was asleep), the sheets are stained and/or not cleaned.

The room was exceedingly small, had no fridge, no reliable lock on the door. The inside door rattled with the wind. There was strong pot smell in hallway and the ice machine didn’t work. Over all not a pleasant experience.
