Kasa Downtown Des Moines

The place was very comfortable and roomy. Perfect for our Family of 4. Would comfortably sleep 6.|We were here to visit for my MIL's 93rd Birthday. |Liked the street parking so close as well as a parking garage. Wish it wasn't so cold because lots to do in walking distance

I was very disappointed when we arrived that the one bedroom unit I booked wasn't a proper one bedroom. The walls of the sleeping area were only partial. This made our one week stay at Christmas difficuly with a 7 year old. Also, some things were not properly stocked. The hand soap was not full and was gone within 24 hours with no refill in the unit. The 3 rolls of toliet paper weren't sufficient for a one week stay. The other challenge we had was the noise. I think it was the specific unit we were given. It was right by the entrance to the building and the game room. It sounded like people were playing ski ball in our bed. Also, every time someone came in or out the building the door slammed very loud. The game room also smelled strongly like marijuana. There were some common items that would've been nice to see in the unit like a door mat (especially in the winter). Overall, I don't think I would stay here again, and I would especially not recommend staying in this particular studio (not one bedroom) unit.

Excellent Location, very comfortable. Can't wait to stay there again when the weather is better. So much to do in walking distance.

I was in town with my 3 children for a swim meet. It was a perfect location right next to the pool. The accommodations were great and communication fantastic. I felt safe during my stay and appreciated the secure doors. My boys loved the ski ball machine! I definitely plan to stay again!

B”H Kasa was absolutely incredible for us; we booked it last minute just for a one-night stay while on a road trip. Truly, it could not have been better for us/in general. The number one thing is the OUTSTANDING level of cleanliness. All of the check-in/checkout procedures for extremely clear and went perfectly smoothly. It was also just a beautiful and very large and comfortable space—we would’ve honestly liked to stay longer just enjoy hanging IN the apartment! And they even provide REALLY GOOD toiletries to use!!! Thank you SO MUCH. This place just rocked.

I stayed in an apartment in Des Moines for 13 weeks on a travel nurse assignment and it was great! The place was super clean when I arrived and I didn't have any issues when I was there. The building was very secure. It has a code to get in the building and another code for the apartment so it was keyless. They also had and NFC key to tap to get into the other entrances of the building so it felt very safe. The apartment was beautiful and located downtown so there were plenty of things to do and restaurants within walking distance. I highly recommend staying here and will definitely look for places to stay with Kasa again in the future!

My family stayed with Kasa for the month of September while my husband did a medical rotation in Des Moines. It was a wonderful stay! Amenities were great. We had everything we needed for our stay, aside from needing to get our own food. :) The kids LOVED the game room right across the hallway. This became almost a daily routine to have some fun with each other. We do wish there would have been a small gym/workout space in the building. But there is a massive gym next door that you can get a membership at. We chose to enjoy nature walks at a nearby lake though! We did have a mishap with a small mirror, but Kasa was wonderful in understanding the issue with it! We are so impressed by their quick response and actions. They were also very kind throughout the entire stay. The only “con” was it is smack dab in the middle of downtown Des Moines, and our Kasa room was on the first floor right next to the main entry door- so we were able to hear literally everything outside. But honestly, the view out our windows made up for it, with 2 beautiful cathedrals! Overall, we are very happy and impressed with our stay! Thanks Kasa for a great experience!!

We routinely stay at Kasa whenever we can in multiple cities in the Midwest. Kasa 2 bedroom apartment was far better than staying at a downtown hotel for our family of 4. Kasa combines the reliability of a hotel chain with the space & configuration of a private short term rental condo/airbnb/vrbo private rental - we always know exactly what we are getting & don’t have to worry about “quirks” like bookings that are cancelled when you are trying to check in! We keep coming back and the familiarity we have with the units makes it so easy to know that we'll have everything we need. Support is amazing by phone & text if anything ever comes up at any time & customer service is top notch to help troubleshoot. Conveniently located, full scale amenities, including a full sized kitchen and laundry. The only thing that could be better is more comfy seating options in the main room. The options for extra hours or a 6pm late checkout for a nominal fee is really helpful too - we’ve taken advantage of it several times. Checkout was a breeze, more like a hotel than a rental home - we just hung up the keys & left. We could even bring our dog!
