Staybridge Suites Des Moines Downtown by IHG

Great place to stay. Everyone was very helpful and friendly. The food is better than other hotel like atmospheres. My only complaint was not because of the place, but because a big even was going on and the downstairs was taken over by a group of people every night to where no one else could really use it. Overall great experience

Fantastic hotel! Super clean, spacious rooms, and a great location. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, even before our stay. Loved the hot tub, pool, and complimentary breakfast. Plus, it’s pet-friendly and has secure parking. Highly recommend for any type of traveler!

Wonderful place to stay. Very, very clean! The hot tub and pool were very clean and were great temperatures. The breakfast was also very good. The front desk staff were amazing! So friendly and helpful always even before my trip started when I had to call and ask questions. Such a great location. Such a great hotel.

I stayed with my 3 children for a night out. Ages 5,7,13. When we checked in we were told about the hot tub being broken, I was a little bummed about that as it wasn't stated anywhere. We got to the room and it was very nice. Spacious and perfect for what we were wanting for our little staycation. Going into the bathroom it appeared to have dirty handprints on the walls/door. As well as absolutely no overhead lighting, all lamps. It was a little hard to play board games without good lighting, but not a big deal. When the kids were exploring the room, they found someone elses socks behind the curtains. Again, not a huge deal. At breakfast my daughter went to grab an orange and it was moldy and had became mushy. Also gross. We threw it away.

We did a quick sisters' weekend and found this hotel. I know the IHG brand well, but was not familiar with this hotel in particular. They delivered!! The front office staff was amazing, the room was amazing, the breakfast was amazing ... every aspect of this stay exceeded my expectations. Keep up the great work and stay here if you are in the area!

Our stay on March 13th and March 14th 2025 was WONDERFUL... and it was 150% due to the people at the Staybridge in Downtown Des Moines, IA. There was an issue with the room type we had reserved using Priceline, which is my preferred tool for reserving hotels. The staff from the Staybridge called me in advance of my arrival to let me know. They offered me an alternative with a discounted rate and were entirely willing to allow us to cancel the reservation if we needed to find that room type at another hotel. This was above and beyond in my experience and the service that Jessica Jones (the General Manager) provided me and the way she handled the situation. It was refreshing that NEVER once was I made to feel like we weren't fully an IHG guest just because we used Priceline! That is was rare in the Hotel industry. I will never forget the experience I had with IHG and Staybridge in Des Moines. > if I could give Ms. Jones a gift I would do just that! Additionally, each staff member at the front desk was kind and helpful, especially Jesse and Trisha! Consider me a big fan of IHG and Staybridge NOW :)

I had an outstanding experience at the front desk, all thanks to the incredible receptionist, Kate! Her warm and kind demeanor truly went above and beyond in helping me. I also want to recognize the other staff members, who were equally supportive and friendly. Their genuine care and attention made a significant impact and greatly enhanced my visit!

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. It has a great location in the East Village in Des Moines Iowa. We were in walking distance of many different places. The hotel was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was really good and had lots of choices. The hot tub and pool were very clean as well. The staff was excellent. Friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. We will definitely be back to stay again.
