Motel 6 Billings, MT - South

Heater didn't work, and the bed had no blanket besides a thin decorative cover, along with the lumpiest excuse for pillows I've ever seen. Toilet wouldn't flush, overflowed forcing me to use the bath towels just to keep nasty water from spreading everywhere. Seeing the other reviews with the same issue I am confident that it wasn't "user error". Bathroom sink sprayed water with enough force to splash all over the counter and even the mirror.

Stayed here one night on a cross-country trip with my pups. The new GM welcomed me like a friend, and followed up to ensure the room was to my liking. If you’ve stayed at Motel 6 before, you’ll know that customer service is basically non-existent. The outside of the building looks pretty rough, and the Motel 6 across the literal street, looks way better but the reviews there made me choose the “south” location. Clean rooms and floors. One critique is I’d like the showers to have more pressure and be hotter. I’d definitely book here again!

JB and the other staffer were very kind and did their best to be accommodating. This poor review is not a reflection on them. They’re up against an impossible task. This building should be closed until it’s ready for guests. Bathroom sink doesn’t drain. Plastic over broken fire alarm (for drug use) Stains on bedding, walls, shower, floors Shattered glass on front door Room doors have break-in damage. Generally disgusting, room smells. One of the keys didn’t work. Tv remote didn’t work. Long story short, we ended up leaving for another hotel while they were trying to get another room ready. I can appreciate a cheap imperfect room as much as the next guy but this is an abandoned building trying to be a motel. Motel 6 is doing damage to their brand. They clearly knows about this because they’ve responded to other similar recent reviews. Tom Bodett would leave the light off for you so you know not to walk in.

I’m a little late in doing this review, but I knew I had to make time at some point and review this hotel. First off, I want to say I had no issues with anyone at the front desk. I came to check in and all went smooth. Even when I went back and changed my room, I still had no issue. My real problems are the following: First, the area outside the hotel is trashed. Like, I didn’t want to touch anything and there’s trash and junk everywhere, almost like low income people have a room there and are collecting stuff and hoarding it around outside and then just throwing their trash everywhere. Second, when I got my first room, it was just absolutely disgusting. The walls were covered in filth, the room was infested in flies, and it smelled terrible. But what really got me was when I went into the bathroom. There was a yellow liquid in the shower. Now, I thought to myself, “this couldn’t be urine, could it?” Sure enough, the closer I got, I could smell that it certainly was. This is when I went and asked for a second room. Third, my second room was interesting. Still had flies, but it did LOOK like there was some effort in cleaning it. The problem was, someone had used so much damn cleaning solution to hide the stench or try to sanitize that I literally couldn’t breathe. At this point, I said screw it and left to another hotel. I didn’t even bother trying again. Lastly, and what really grinded my gears, was I ended up being double charged when I went over to check out. I had booked through Expedia, and had reminded them of this. I was told by someone at the front desk I had to take it up with Expedia. I called Expedia and they explained that they had already collected payment for the property and that they would call the property on my behalf. Apparently, it took them a could of hours to get ahold of them, and I was told that the hotel was not supposed to charge me, that had had a problem with this hotel before, and that the hotel would not work with them. In the end, they kept what they charged, and Expedia went out of their way and refunded me themselves. Just an awful, filthy, disgusting hotel that charges disproportionally for what you get. Out of all the hotels I’ve ever stayed at, this one really comes to mind all the time, and I tell friends about “that hotel that had piss in the shower, even though someone had come in and had to have seen it when they changed the sheets”. (But did they change the sheets? The bed was made. Now I’m wondering…) In any case, do not recommend. In fact, stay away. You could catch something and die.

Staff goes so far above expected job performance. Individually, or together they go above and beyond. Motel 6 South Way above North. Grandson and my self had stayed at North, now! We will be staying in South. Thank you for your exceptional staff

Rooms are good and clean. Great service by the Housekeeping team. Location needs improvement a lot of snow on parking areas and on the driveways. But if you don't mind the snow then your good. It's a good motel.

This place is awesome, he gave me a chance and help me when my time is hard and homeless, he very sweet and great guy, I work for Victoria Sercets and my gurl works for Walmart!! We are very happy here for the time being. He works with me and his services are great he doing a great job putting this hotel back together!! With a great team!! Thank you all of you!!💙💙💙💙💙💙💯💯💯

My boyfriend, our service dog, and myself stayed here about 10 days ago or so... I got locked out of our room while my boyfriend was at work and our furr baby was locked inside. I went to the desk to have another key made, where I was told that it couldn't be issued to me, only my boyfriend who was at work. After making me wait outside in the freezing cold for hours for him to get back, glad to finally let our baby out for a much needed potty break, we were told in the morning that we were on the DO NOT RENT list because of the "issues" the day before. JB (who claims to be the GM of both "6" properties here) was the most disrespectful excuse of even the lowest status employee; but repeatedly insisted he was the GM
