Ramada by Wyndham Midtown Grand Island

We stayed at this hotel while driving through. The hotel was very rundown, and the other guests seemed very seedy. I did not feel safe and did not let my kids out of my sight. The Internet was really slow, when it actually worked. The TV remote was very sticky… When I used a baby wipe to wipe it down, the wipe was black afterwards and it’s still remained sticky. Make sure to check your bill, I was charged for a pool view room when I was in a standard room, the furthest the pool on the clear other side of the hotel. When I tried to get the front desk staff to adjust it. He fought me on it. I told him I refused to pay for a pool view room and he said he would have to talk to his manager when he came in because they weren’t able to change it in the system. Three days later it was finally resolved, but I had to continue to pursue it. Absolutely will not stay here again and would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Clean hotel, room very comfortable but heater/AC was loud during the night. Very kind professional staff. Great pool with well maintained pool area. Breakfast buffet was a bit skimpy, no yogurt option, only sugary cereal available. It was a good experience but I would have preferred a few breakfast improvements such as yogurt. Could be an easy addition into the milk refrigerator.

Spent 2 nights over the weekend. Room was clean and comfortable, slept great in the king sized bed (although why do they have 3 pillows instead of 4). TV was easy to operate. Had dinner in the lounge and it was great prime rib. Hot tub and pool were a fabulous break. We spend time in Grand Island often to visit family and we’ll be staying again.

Pleasant stay, friendly staff, clean room. Decent breakfast. Had a fun little putt putt course, pool table, ping ping, good sized pool, and hot tub(not very hot at all)

The desk staff was great - very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and quiet. The beds and the pillows were both comfortable. Lots of places to plug in and multiple USB ports. I loved the bonus sink outside of the bathroom - always helpful during family travel.

We recently went to Grand Island for a weekend away and decided to stay at this Ramada. The room as clean and quiet. We decided to eat at the restaurant in the hotel Friday night, it was not a good dinner. We ordered the prime rib, mine was tough but edible, my wives was an end piece that was way over cooked and not edible. She was brought another piece that was warm at best. We ended up taking it back to the room so she could heat it up in the microwave.

I would rate this hotel more than 5 out of 5 if I could. After having a bad experience at another hotel, we contacted the front desk to make sure either had an elevator or rooms available on the first floor. We were going to book online to get Wyndham Rewards points, but the night clerk, Jackie, was very helpful and friendly and said she would take care of it for us and make sure the points were added. We arrived around 11:30pm. The room was very clean and comfortable and had sliding glass doors to the outside making it easy to bring our luggage in. At 1:30am we woke up to discover that the power was out in our room. The person at the front desk said we would have to move as he didn’t know how to access the breaker. We moved across the hall, took a while to get back to sleep, but then slept well. We reported this to the morning desk clerk, Sheila and asked if the room could be discounted for our inconvenience. She was sympathetic and gave us a 25% discount on the room which was greatly appreciated. Besides the staff being so gracious, and the room so clean, this hotel had the absolute best breakfast we have ever had in a hotel! We felt like we went out for an expensive meal.

Clean, comfortable beds, clean towels, nice shower, but when we woke up there was a wet puddle on floor in front of patio door! Not so nice! Now waiting for breakfast. Front desk man was kind of "grumpy" checking us in with no reservation!🤷 Kind of expensive for water seeping in on floor.
