★★★This hotel could be spectacular but its just ok. The beds are comfortable but the only service worth anything were the bartenders and one front desk person. There was a front desk lady that reminded me of a cafeteria matron. She needs some customer service training. Her manner is dismissive and brusk. Sometimes they have a valet and other times they don't but they do charge you $50 for waiting until they find someone to get your car. The rooms are well decorated but not thoroughly cleaned. There was a film of dust in the closet floor, where you store your clothes…The food at the Monarch was trying to hard, not great food. Go simple its easier. There was a front desk Latino gentleman who was exceptional.And finally they had an elevator issue that was still unsolved when I departed for two days.

NillThis could have been a great experience, but unfortunately, the front desk’s handling of my request left a lot to be desired. I was staying for a group event and was assigned a king bed room. I called down to the front desk to ask if I could switch to a room with two queen beds. The front desk informed me that they were fully booked for the night and that no changes could be made, which I understood at the time. However, when my friend called shortly afterward to inquire about booking a room, she was told there were rooms available, and she was offered a choice of either a king room or a two-queen room. This felt like a contradiction to the information I had been given, as I was told there were no rooms available. After checking in, my friend’s room had issues with the air conditioning—it was 80 degrees inside. When we called the front desk, they simply offered us a fan, saying there was nothing else they could do. After some back and forth, we were able to reach the general manager, who helped us switch to a different room where the air conditioning was working. It’s frustrating that they went from being “fully booked” to having at least three available rooms. I understand that there might be logistical reasons behind this, but the lack of transparency and communication was unacceptable. Unfortunately, due to the way this situation was handled, I can’t give a positive review. Based on the poor customer service, this hotel is receiving a 1-star rating from me.

NillThe staff shines at this establishment. Carlos at the front desk was wonderful. His gorgeous smile and impeccable service made me and family feel instantly welcome. Jack the bartender makes a mean smoked old fashioned and Easton the valet was amazing. The monarch restaurant has a burger to die for. I will definitely be back. The room was quiet and met all my needs.

NillI travel to Omaha for work about once a month and this is my 3rd time staying at Hotel Deco. The check-in is my favorite part of staying at this hotel. Carlos is super friendly/approachable and he already feels like a friend whenever I roll into town! I’ve stayed at many hotels in the Old market and this is quickly one of my favorite places to stay. The rooms are great, beds are comfy and staff are awesome and friendly.
