Best Western Port Clinton

Location was awesome. Had a view of lake Erie from our room. Room was clean. Breakfast was good. Only down fall was the room wasn't checked during the day when we were gone. (Trash taken out, bed not made, no new towels on our 3rd night there) but other then that our stay was great and everyone was friendly.

We reserved two rooms and one clearly had cats and had not been cleaned at all. My poor allergy prone family suffered greatly. If you're going to allow pets, you've got to clean the rooms better. The other room was musty, but did clear out with some AC running. I found the bed to be quite comfortable.

I have had many stays in Port Clinton over the past decade. Overall, I keep coming back to the Best Western. Overall, very good value. Clean. Very friendly manager and staff. They have gone out of their way to accommodate me. Not the fanciest hotel in town, but very good stay.

Our first priority is pet friendly and this hotel is the highest reviewed for people traveling with the pooch. The staff is always friendly. The hotel is older and things are noticeable but it is clean and close to family nearby so we visit often. No elevator and this was our first time on the second floor. Pros and cons to that but overall we were happy with this stay.

Loved the location of this Best Western. It is very close to Lake Erie shoreline. You have a Bob's big boy across the highway and there are plenty of restaurants with 5 miles too. The place looked calm and there is a lot of parking.||The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean, the carpet was clean and bathroom was a decent sized one. The bed was firm and you get many channels on the TV. The good thing is the staff offered extra towels in the morning.||There is a small outdoor pool in the front.

If I could give a 0, I would. Beware, if you live in Port Clinton, don't bother trying to stay here. They don't allow locals to stay. If you believe that companies should support the people that live locally, don't support this franchise owner by staying here either. The place was empty and they would rather let a room sit empty than allow a local stay. The worst part is that the person staying in the room wasn't local, but wasn't old enough to reserve the room (my college student's boyfriend, an adult.) So, I had to put him up in Sandusky. To make matters worse, when my reservation came in yesterday, they waited for me to come in today and try to check in before telling me my money wasn't good enough for them. So if your heat goes out or you just want to get away locally one night, nope, not here, they don't want you. I am so tired of local companies only caring about the tourists here. There is a whole city of people that live here year round that would be more than happy to support local businesses, but we don't matter in so many instances.

Squeaky clean, basic 2 star motel. Good wi-fi, fully controllable a/c, plenty of electric outlets, microwave and min-fridge. The pool is closed but we didn't care. Just a note: a smallish TV (32 inch?) but the largest safe I have ever seen in a hotel room...A reasonable place to stay and as I said ..squeaky clean

We very much enjoyed out stay here. Our room had an exterior back door which was quite handy. The room had a lot of extra space, and two chairs with the table. The beds and pillows were quite comfortable. The topper was the quietness of the air conditioner unit. It was very easy to sleep through. The breakfast was adequate and what they had tasted good.
