NillOh my gosh, what can I say about this place? Shane is amazing to work with. So friendly, personable, and fun. They were hit hard by the storm we had this year, so the beautiful vegetation is being nursed back to life. I have stayed 2 times in the same room. It's simply beautiful and sparkling clean. I love all the flamingos. I look forward to visiting again. By the way if you Grubhub food they will deliver it to the main porch. I was in the Chateau near the garages. As a disabled person I was disappointed that they now charge to park in the driveway because I have no option to do that due to the steep driveway and busy street is on. But Shame worked with me on this and even offered an hour late check out on my 2nd stay.

NillA cramped, over-hyped airbnb with a thousand hidden charges and scammy description. Bad vibes from the minute I pulled up, I booked for 3 nights and left after the first. I didn't pester Shane for a refund, I didn't contact AirBnb... and then he went ahead a tried to charge me $56 for a tear in a ratty pillowcase (it was threadbare and I didn't notice if it was torn when in arrived, but all the bedding was pilling and old, bro couldn't get $2 for it at a yard sale so lol @ $56 go-off Shane). It felt like he was trying to wring every last dollar he could from me, while offering as little as possible. Red flag: the nightly rate is less than the various fees tacked on. This always feels like a scam, because it is one. Airbnb is changing this policy soon, but until then sketchy hosts will price-gouge away. When I realized my $58/night room was actually over $100/night, I should have run. He wanted to charge me $13 for my friend to stop by for an hour. Apparently I was given a discounted single occupany rate which meant all visitors are forbidden. I didn't realize I was renting a jail cell, every hotel or airbnb I've ever stayed at allows for visitors. This info was buried in the reams of rules and amenities sent. The room was tiny and all amenities were a smaller, weirder version than those listed. The bedding was worn and dingy, the bedside table a tiny mini fridge with a microwave on top. The house was difficult to find, with an extremely steep driveway leading from a busy street. It was very hard to safely exit this driveway, and parking on such an incline was precarious, albeit safer than street parking in a city infamous for its car break-ins. The "free parking" is only guaranteed at 3pm, and if you decide to drive anywhere you may be stuck parking on one of the nest of chaotic streets nearby. There were threatening signs throughout the space, indicating that they will call the police if you smoke inside, and the rooms are connected so you're essentially being monitored at all times. They also stress that they will have your car towed if you park an inch out of the yellow lines in the steep parking out front. The space felt unwelcoming and hostile. A medium load of laundry costs $25. They were constantly up-selling me on early or late check-in ($28-50), and offered a larger room for $30/night but not if I opened the door to the room I booked (I didn't see this offer until I put my bags down after my long drive). The outdoor space was cramped and the road noise was overwhelming. There were weird buzzing sounds throughout the room and I could clearly hear the conversations had by the folks in a nearby room. There was a facade of privacy but all the rules and signage indicated that I was under surveillance by someone chomping at the bit to take my money. I really just tried to walk away and let this dude continue running his sketchy-a55 business, but he continued to extort me for money and no one deserves to deal with this on vacation. No idea why he has so many positive reviews but feels suss and for the love of God just find something else.

NillThe place is so beautiful all over. Plants and nature everywhere in the front. The host was so friendly from the start right up to the check out. Very resourceful and kind. Also this place was very close to alot of parks and nice walks. It was a great relaxing couple of days I needed after a long road trip and I'm so happy I found this place. I really want to visit Oregon again just to get more time at this place and check out more of the local sites.
