NillCrystal Inn is a diamond in the rough. Located in the outskirts of Houston, this jewel is nestled between Highlands and Baytown. The area is not a traditional tourist spot, but it is just mins from some of The Space City’s must see attractions. 15 mins to downtown Houston, 5 mins from both revitalized old Baytown as well as the Historical San Jacinto Monument ( which is home to the famous Battleship Texas). It’s about 25 mins from the Kemah Boardwalk, while NASA, Galveston & The Houston Galleria are all less than an hours drive. This small hotel is recently updated, well maintained, with a friendly & accommodating staff. The price tag of less than $100 total a night, surely makes The Crystal Inn a top choice for family vacations on a budget.

NillI must express my extreme disappointment with the quality of this hotel. No this isn’t a 5 star hotel in the least, I was expecting a new and clean little hotel. Our decision to book a room was made with the intention of potentially recommending it to visitors traveling in for an event nearby, but the experience was so abysmal that I struggle to find a starting point for my critique. Despite being a relatively new establishment, any semblance of promise quickly evaporated upon inspection. All prospective guests need to heed the warnings in the numerous negative reviews. I’ve never known a hotel to not refund you if you are NOT staying due to their obvious and without question neglect! Upon entering the room, my senses were assaulted by a pungent odor that stung the eyes and irritated the throat instantly, reminiscent of a noxious blend of damp animals and cat urine. It’s the only way to describe the smell. The visual walls in the room were no better, with a patched-up wall bearing evidence of hasty repairs following what appeared to be a large kick to the wall or a leak. The wall also had what looked like food splattered on it. The sheets revealed unsightly yellow stains that furthered the unhygienic conditions. The more I moved around the room the worse it got! Was it coffee or pee stains?? With the smell, I’m going with urine stains. The bathroom further underscored the lackluster standards, with the absence of basic amenities such as toilet paper showcasing a blatant disregard for guest comfort. The whole vibe was a bed placed in a gas station bathroom. You could tell it was once a pretty room that has been completely let go. Interactions with the staff only served to compound the negative experience, as their dismissive and indifferent attitude reflected a culture of zero care towards guest satisfaction. It is evident that profit takes precedence over providing a satisfactory experience, with the hope that guests will be lured in by initial appearances only to be met with disgusting accommodations upon arrival. Regrettably, I seriously urge others to exercise caution before considering a stay here. It’s a money grab with zero care for the customer’s satisfaction. Since it was fairly new we assumed it would be great and convenient for guests coming in for an event. We were so happy we checked it out first and wont be recommending it to anyone. We had planned to make it fun little night while checking it out. I wouldn’t leave a dog in that room. Maybe they will consider a cleaning person, bleach for sheets, and a maintenance man.

★★The room was not bad. Seems like it has been updated recently and has a contemporary feel to it. The restroom and shower is spacious and modern as well. The cleanliness wasn’t very good. There was a used washcloth hanging on the shower rod and the bedding was stained.

NillFirst of all, they wouldn't let me check in without my husband's card and we had 2 rooms reserved. We get there and our TV doesn't work and after only being there 45 mins, we have the cops knocking on the door saying someone called 911 from our room. No one touched the phone! This place is a joke and we will be requesting our money back. We left after only an hour of being there.

NillI have enjoyed my stay at Crystal Inn plenty of times. The staff members are welcoming, the rooms are clean, and sometimes the linens are still warm from the dryer. Loads of amenities. I am a single black female and I enjoy the safety and professionalism that this business provides. I would disregard Mr Pluto's comment. it's ironic that they talk about karma when thier name is Pluto, which is a planet that doesnt come around at all.
