Enjoyed the stay. Pretty new building. Spacious and clean room. Good kitchen items. Dog friendly. Plush bed. Nice privacy around the hotel thanks to the open area. Not sure about sound proof system though as we had other small, loud dog a few rooms away from us. That dog's bark made our dogs bark as it was pretty much clear and loud to hear. Good service from the receptionist.

The rooms were very nice. Check-in was very easy. Close by to where we needed to be. There was one worker that seemed to be more on the rude side. Maybe she was having a bad day, but overall, it was a great place to stay for us.

I called to inquire about getting a first-floor room after making a booking. The front desk clerk asked me to hold while she checked. After waiting, she informed me that a request for a first-floor room had been made. She then asked for my address, and upon providing it, she explained that since I was a local resident, I would be required to place a $250 deposit due to previous incidents of locals damaging rooms. Puzzled by this policy, I questioned why I would be held responsible for the actions of others, especially when other establishments only charge a $25-50 deposit. I requested that she review my account to verify if I had ever caused any damage during previous stays. However, instead of addressing my concerns, she began shouting over me, demanding that I be quiet and listen to her. She reiterated the deposit requirement and stated that if I was not satisfied, she would cancel my reservation. The call was then abruptly disconnected. Consequently, I had to contact customer service, which unfortunately connected me to the reservation line. I explained the situation, and they assisted me in canceling the reservation. This experience highlights the extremely poor service I encountered. For your information, the reason for my reservation was to accommodate my family during Thanksgiving. Rather than disrupt their current accommodations, we opted to stay in a hotel. It is truly disappointing to encounter such treatment when seeking a place to stay.

Positive: Hotel is new and close to shopping and restaurants. Ample parking and friendly staff. Negative: The hot breakfast buffet is laid out awkwardly. The hot items are in a glass case that makes it hard to remove them. The bed in the room is positioned too close to the wall AC so that when it is on, it blows on you. Room needs overhead lighting.

We had a wonderful stay, from the very friendly and accommodating staff, to the lovely clean welcoming rooms, great location and the fact it truly is a proper pet friendly hotel, we will definitely be back to stay again. Thank you.

Great size room, well laid out. There was some water damage in our room though, from a leak in the room above us. The space smelled mildewy and there was visible damage to the ceiling and wallpaper. Other than the smell, didn’t really bother us, but hoping staff resolves the issue before it goes moldy.

If I could give negative 5 stars, that would definitely be my review. We checked into the hotel early today (12/08/24 before 4P) because the flight got pushed early and we did not want to fly way later than what AA offered. So arriving early to Corpus Christi TX (with bad weather), we had no other place to go to but the Home2 Suites. The place was NOT packed and NOT busy at all. So we asked if we could check in early and they said of course you can we are not busy. But then they charged us an extra $50 to check in! I totally get it if the extra charge was for quick cleaning service with offers to other tenants to leave early or something, but the place is almost empty with no customers with alot of rooms available now! We asked politely if they could not charge us the extra day since there is nobody here, but they charged us anyways! After figuring out they will charge us regardless, we took the charge cause we really didn't have a choice since we don't live in Corpus Christi and we have no place to go. Home2 suites has definitely lost a customer charging us an extra day. Home2 Suites couldn't be a little bit accommodating to a customer who travels alot and decided to try out Home2 Suites?

Love this hotel. Very clean and spacious rooms, except for the bathroom but super nice. Great location across from the mall and in the center of the city. Highly recommend
