Days Inn by Wyndham Corpus Christi Beach

I want to start by saying that I did receive a refund for my booking because we did not stay the night. And location is walking distance to the beach. Here is my review. Check in was fine, got room 310. Go to park and get the bags and kids up, and the elevator doesn't work. Walk up 3 flights of unmaintained stairs that feel like they will collapse at any moment to our floor and finally you get to the room. Room was updated compared to the outside of the building, but poorly done. Cracks in the walls all over, toilet not secured to the floor well so it lifts when you sit or stand. Gaps in the floor and tub so water would get through, and TV has black lines running down it because it's broken. Ok it's a hotel we will just sleep there for the night so no biggie. Family and I go out to the beach, go out to dinner, and come back and start watching a movie to fall asleep. 10:30pm someone opens our door! No knock no call, no announcement. We had the locks on so they couldn't open it all the way but my kids scream, my wife screams, and we hear "oops wrong room." Call the front desk and the manager/owner says yes it's hotel staff you have a dog in the room I can see it on the camera. What!!!!! We have no dog, and what do you mean see it on the camera. We pack up our stuff and head down to the car and I go to the front desk and check out and demand a refund. Owner insists I have a dog and he will not refund me. Hotel staff who tried to enter comes in and apologized and said she had the wrong room. Was supposed to go to 210 not 310. Owner still insisting that I am in the wrong. Called hotels.com who I booked with and after about an hour finally got a refund and started my drive back to San Antonio at almost midnight. Kids are crying, wife is scared, I am pissed. Pick a different hotel than this one for your stay. They are rude, it's falling apart, and I still don't know if the camera was inside or outside the room, but I felt unsafe and violated either way.

Just stayed here for the last two days with my wife and daughter. Had a most enjoyable stay. The room was clran and smelled clean. Pool was clean. Right on the beach. Maid made up our room when we were out. Staff was friendly. One issue. No elevator. So, if you can't do stairs be sure to ask for ground floor room. Is this a Hilton, no. Does it need some cosmetic work, yes. All beach hotels I have ever stayed at do.

The room was absolutely terrible. Wall paper was peeling. The room stunk like cigarettes. The carpet was stained with cigarette burns and other stains. The bathroom looked like someone ended themselves in it. The TV was broken. The breakfast was disgusting. Expired milk. The service from the hotel was absolutely horrible. Rude as hell. Over all if you want a cheap place it's good. Just don't expect anything good.

***BED BUG ALERT*** Within minutes of check-in, we notice a strong damp smell. My daughter placed her belongings on the bed and panicked because she found a bed bug crawling on her. I notified a staff member and she came in, check the room and immediately close the room and put a sign on the door. I have spoken to the manager and he agreed to refund my money through Expedia. It's been weeks, so I reached out to Expedia about the refund and they replied with an email stating the manager has decided not to refund my money. At this point, I plan to notify the health department and submit all pictures taken.

This place I booked through hotels and let me say it was definitely false advertising upon driving up I thought it was closed I don’t know what angle they took the pictures from but my stay said beach view definitely was another property blocking it, the blanket had a cigarette burn it. My husband and I tried to make the most of it and we left at 4 :15 due to someone trying to break in our car. It’s a hole in the wall and reminded me of the movie the players club. The beach they say is walking distance is full of debris and rocks and feels like your sinking in I made sure to screenshot the area so I’ll never stay over there again and also no close food options if you have a family or trying to do a getaway Don’t! Front desk was nice that is all. Walls were paper thin , heard walking not outside but ppl in their rooms and couples talking or being intimate .

My daughter found a tick in her hair just after leaving this hotel. Now we just hope it doesn't have any of the bacteria these nasty bugs transmit.

We traveled as a family to total up to 5 rooms. One side of the place is updated and appears nice. The other half look like a dump drug house. Let me say this place is so tight that they will not allow you to have the key 10 min early but will have you check in and return for the key. I'm only referencing 2 rooms in the post because these are just too much, and I'll leave it to the others to post a review if they choose. Room 1. My elderly grandpa's had arrived the night prior and had been complaining about the door handle getting stuck. My grandmother had actually gotten stuck for 30 min before my grandpa returned to check on her because the room door was so difficult to open. The day I arrived, my grandpa tried to tell them they needed another room due to not being able to get in and out of the door because the door handle was getting stuck. The office said they could move them to a single bed instead of double, which wasn't going to work as we needed, and book double beds non-smoking. Went out for the evening, and upon arriving, not even my 6 ft 5 in 300lb husband could get their door open. Multiple staff members attempted to open the door before it finally opened. The only other room was a double bed smoking. Unfortunately, my grandparents had no other option than to sleep in a stell smoke room. They couldn't wait to drive away at daylight the next day. They had enough. Room 2 mold all over the walls, the lamps, the bath tub, ceiling, and shower curtain. Not to mention the multiple roaches and water bugs throughout the room. There are holes along the floor where poor work and base boards are missing. We arrived, and there were 3 drinks in the fridge that of which I immediately threw out because I didn't want any of my kids to drink. About an hour after some guys come asking for their drinks, they left in there... who does that? 2 towels for 4 people were all we were allowed. When we asked for more, the girl said she needed the 2 towels that were already in the room. I said I don't understand how a family of 4 is expected to share 2 towels. Breakfast was a joke. You're better off saving on a breakfast plan and buy your granola bar and banana at the gad station. It was nasty, and we felt uncomfortable being there. If we hadn't booked a nonrefundable, we would've gone elsewhere. Stay away, you've been warned.

We recently stayed at this hotel, and it was a nice little stay for the price. If you are a family or couple on a budget, this is the place for you. For the price you paid, it exceeds my expectations. The hotel needs a little TLC, but it was a struggle I saw among many hotels and businesses in Corpus Christi. The room service lady was very friendly, and we loved the fact that we were staying about 100 steps from the beach. The hotel was nice and quiet, which made for a relaxing stay.
