We visited in early February 2025. Extensive renovations were underway. In the midst of all that, the General Manager (GM) of the hotel gave us exceptional service. She was kind, professional, helpful, and a terrific ambassador for the Marriott brand! I cannot recall her name; but she was the GM on duty mid-afternoon on 02.13.25. She provided a great lesson on customer service to the other front desk staff on duty at the time. Professionals like this GM keep us committed to Marriott!

DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! This is the most filthy, dirty, nasty hotel I have ever stayed at carrying the Marriott name. People loitering in the parking lot and digging in the dumpster. People loitering throughout the hotel. My room had a flooded bathroom because the toilet in the room above was leaking through the ceiling. The door in the front lobby is supposed to be an automatic door but it does not work so you have to manually open and close it but it falls off the hinges. There is a note posted on the door to keep it closed for your safety but even when you close it there is no locking device for it to lock. The front desk clerk, who is very nice and apologetic, is not always at the front desk so whomever can come in whenever. As I walked through the hotel to my room the entire hotel is in complete decline and just dirty with chipping paint and dirty carpet throughout. It appears that people are living here long term. There is trash everywhere. As I walked through the hotel the hallways are lined with trash, it appears that the people in the rooms just throw their trash into the hallways. The front desk clerk actually walked me to my room. This is not a safe place to stay. When I got to my room, before noticing the bathroom, I saw that there was no safety-security lock on the door, just the lock on the doorknob. I called the front desk when I discovered the flooded bathroom and she said she would move me to a different room. No refunds because I had already paid and it was a non refundable room. I called Marriott directly told them what was going on, they issued me a refund and booked me at a different Marriott hotel. I can't repeat enough ... DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! I have pictures of everything. I forgot to mention that the exits are not marked. There are printed paper exits signs that I assume are supposed to be on the walls but they are lying on the floor. Again, DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

Stayed for 3 weeks. Everyone is so kind and friendly. Staff is extremely attentive, if you need something just ask. Even through the renovations everything is clean and everyone is on top of everything. No type of bugs in site whatsoever. Maintenance is fast and thorough. My children and I have loved staying here these past 3 weeks and would definitely recommend to anyone.

(I have video and pics, but if course they dont have a place show you all how bad this was) Hands down the single worst hotel ive ever stayed at. I am a Titanium Elite Bonvoy memeber. This personally translates to almost 2000 stays and 17yrs of commitment to the Marriott brand. This stay was awful feom the parking lot. The trash from their "renovations" was something out of a homeless encampment. Rather than give a story, here are the bullet pts. - Un-vacuumed front entrance - broken automatic doors I had to open - filthy hallway - elevator full of construction debris - 3rd floor broken light fixtures and "T" brackets for track ceiling on the ground - broken microwave (filthy) - drywall mud dried on carpet everywhere (this cleans with water, not even soap is needed - severely stained furniture - holes in furniture - no alarm clock (had a 430 wakeup, always use backups when that early) - PUBIC HAIR in my shower - got in at 1 am and they started cutting at 830 (i didnt know the place was being renovated, nothing on site when booking) - filthy carpet, i laid down towels to walk on - they shut water off that morning at 8am, no shower for the funeral I was attending or wash hands after bathroom - no closet doors - hangers covered in paint or drywall mud - Air-conditioner made horrible banging noise when running I paid $487 for 2 nights in a 2 bedroom since my friend couldn't barely affird to get tbere let alone afford a room. I have had better stays at hotels in the middle of nowhere. The ones you get because you have no choice. This is the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in. Shame on you for the poor care for yiur property. You deserve to have Marriott take their name from you

I normally don’t rate hotels but this place was so bad I had to warn others. If the late-night noise from the restaurants across doesn’t keep you awake, the Home Depot loading operations outside your wall will. Hotel was in general in a disgusting state. Stay away.

Checked in 2-21-25, found sink stopper almost in the closed position, when took a shower found the drain was stopped and water was filling up in standup shower. Also, found, “strangely, mysteriously”, there are all the predominately progressive left-leaning news channels like, CNN, MSNBC, CBS, NBC, ABC, PBS, BBC, etc. However, Fox News is NOT available to view!!! Sounds pretty progressive leaning tactic to me!!! Hope the owner(s) pay attention to this and STOP this nonsense, IF they want my money!!! As far as the sink and shower drain issue, in the morning of Saturday 2-22-25, the Head Housekeeper, Julie came up to the room (307), and efficiently fixed both issues, unscrewed sink stopper which made more of an opening for water to flow, and removed hair from shower drain mouth and cleared it, good job Julie, thank you! 😊

They are currently renovating but that caused no issues at all. Our suite was huge, thunk one bedroom apartment. Central location, close to everything you could want to do in Corpus Christi.
