We loved our stay! Super clean, comfortable bed, fast hot water with a full size shower. Recently remodeled without losing the vintage feel. Check in was an easy and friendly transaction. Great amenities like a real fridge, ice available, TV with cable. Far enough away from I-10 that we had a quiet peaceful night. Can I mention house much I love a motel without carpetting? We'll be driving through on a regular basis and it's nice knowing the Spanish Trail Lodge is here.

Loved this spot! Rooms are really nicely done, love the tile. Room was very clean. Owners are super nice and hospitable. Felt very safe as two ladies traveling together. The grounds are lovely, really nicely landscaped and lots of nice amenities and places to hang out. Would absolutely stay again. Close to I-10 so a good stop on a road trip, but also a great place to stay longer for sight seeing and road trips.

I absolutely love Spanish Trail Lodge. Patty, Jerry, and (sweet dog Cujo) were so warm and welcoming, and my room so comfortable and clean on my first visit, that I drove out of my way to stay here again a month later. They are thoughtful of every detail without charging an arm and a leg. Rooms are well-stocked with microwaves and mini fridges, plenty of storage for clothes and luggage, and very comfortable beds. The covered patios and landscaping are lovely. As a single woman traveling alone, I felt safe and knew I could call on the owners if I needed anything. You just don't find roadside motels like this any more... I wish there were at least one in every town. Thanks for your hospitality, y'all :-)

Patty and Jerry (father/daughter owners) made us feel right at home in this cute little motel! The Spanish Trail Lodge was very clean and well-decorated. The beds were comfier than ours back at home! ||||WiFi, cable TV, coffee, hot showers, and a picnic/gazebo area for grilling and enjoying the beautiful outdoors. It snowed during our trip, making it extra special :)||||Perfect for a family trip or a couples getaway. About 1 hr 45 min north of Big Bend National park. ||||10/10 recommend!!

This motel has been redone in the best kind of way! The rooms and property are adorable. The bed was super comfy with nice linens and the furniture, lamps and art are really cute. They left the cool old retro tile in the bathroom which is so cool, and new Saltillo style tile on the floor. Everything was sparkling clean. The grounds are nicely landscaped and they have turned the old carports into super fun covered seating/bbq areas and there's another common covered patio area. There was also an area to play horseshoes. The owner is very friendly and accommodating. They allow pets for a $10 fee. We will absolutely stay here again - might even make a special trip just to spend some more time there and visit the old fort and other area attractions. Awesome place!

Needing to get off the deer filled night road coming from big bend, we looked in ft stockton for a hotel and this sweet gem came up. as we pulled into the parking lot i knew it was going to be well maintained as the gravel was immaculate. the proprietors were extremely friendly upon check in and the rooms were amazing. super clean and an impression that everything was very cared for. they work on the honor system for ice and snacks in the carport between the office and rooms and it just felt good and safe. a rarity anymore, i'd say. also the price was amazing for such comfort - the linens alone were a dream- clean and not scratchy- and the duvet was perfectly weighted. i havent slept that good on the road since i cant remember when, thank you spanish trail lodge!

Clean, updated 1950’s feel. Daughter and father owner/managers. Very kind and helpful. I love the old roadside feel and the Spanish design. Close to downtown. We’re on our way to Arizona and had RV repairs needed so only spent one night but would have stayed longer if needed. Much better than I-10 roadside hotels.

I've been staying in fort Stockton for the better part of a year. I have had the opportunity to stay in almost every motel in town, until I found the Spanish trail lodge (I noticed it on the way out of town one morning) and I haven't stay any where else since. The staff have always been kind and humble (my kind of people) The rooms are clean and simple. The motel it self is set up in a way that engages in getting people out if their rooms, to cook or just to wind down from a long day. Long story short if your ever in town give this place a chance. Long term, short term or just passing threw for the night, I would highly recommend staying anytime.
