Crowne Plaza Houston Galleria Area, an IHG Hotel

The breakfast here is well above my expectations. It's good. They must have have a tough hiring process here because the servers in the restaurant for breakfast are great. Katherine was extremely helpful and made me feel like I was cared for. Jorge was a true gentleman and left no need unmet. These are my words and I stand by them! :)

The staff was very nice upon check in and check out. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable. We had everything we needed. This hotel was in a great location for what we wanted to do. We would stay here again when we are in this area.

Celumy is amazing!! The best service . I had the best old fashion! The food was excellent too! She was very attentive. What a great hotel and restaurant. Great service and the food was delicious. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Love that the gym is open 24 hours

Be careful as to where your room is in relation to the ongoing Construction. I was trying to work from the hotel room much of the day and there were construction projects going on two doors down and below me. 3 days of breaking up tile, removing leftover grout, dumping into a container and below me was the constant noise of saws Hammers and grinders. After the first day they told me they were done and wouldn't be a problem the second day the second day they said it would be done. The third day they told me they should never have put me in that room. Even the employees don't understand how the included breakfast was to have been handled. All the employees were very nice but it seemed like there was no coordination with what was going on and what they were told.

Great location, easy to get onto most major highways and freeways in Houston. Loved the hotel, even though it was apparently under construction I was never bothered by noise or any construction dust. Plenty of parking, well lit in the lot and felt safe with the gated entry. The only very minor note we had after our stay was that the bedside table lamps could use a lower wattage bulb. They were very very bright, and there was no ability to dim them.

This was our first stay at this hotel. The check in process was quick and handled professionally. Our room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. Although this hotel is next to the freeway our room was very quiet. The only negative comment I have is there's some construction going on and the parking is limited up front near the handicap parking area. But we did well in finding a handicap parking nearby.

I stayed for business and enjoyed the comfort of my room and the accessibility to the amenities. I ate in the restaurant and enjoyed the flavor and presentation of the food. The staff was welcoming and the sadly the staff seemed to be coming down with a cold/flu - something. Despite how ill everyone was the team had a smile on their face and assisted customers. I think I was more concerned about the number of staff members under the weather ...but it is the season. Deborah & Apurva were welcoming and kind. Deborah addressed my inquiries and committed finding an answer for me in regard to the use of the TV in the gym. I did not have any serious concerns and enjoyed my rest considering the location is right off of the freeway. I enjoy the location and easy access to stores, restaurants and the office. Absolutely a welcoming home away from home feeling when I stay at this location.

Our experience was ok. Could it be better? Yes! No issues with the room or customer service in general, although it could improve. The hotel is being renewed, so it is somewhat acceptable to see some areas that need attention. The employees at the restaurant were the highlight of the place at breakfast time. They were friendly, attentive and willing to help (for that we thank them). The parking lot was ok, but there was a strong smell of "smoked self medication" in the air at the times I was there. Also, the pool was lacking serious maintenance.
