NillStayed at the Houston Marriott West Loop by The Galleria for six nights on a business trip. Very nice location next to 610, but also very quiet, as the rooms have good soundproofing. The hotel rooms themselves need some renovation and have not been looked after for a long time. The rooms are basic but have all the necessary amenities. The check-in process was smooth, and the welcome lobby and breakfast place are very good. The breakfast spread is so-so and not very lavish, although at this rate, one would expect a few more items for breakfast. Our request for a well-done omelette with specific ingredients was met politely by Omar and Sylvia at the restaurant. The laundry service was nice and accurate, although the ironing quality was not as good as I would have liked it to be (compared to other Marriott hotels in other parts of the world). There is a small mini-mart at the reception from where one can buy water/some necessities, and some food if needed. This place is close to the Galleria Mall, and although I heard it has a shuttle service to the mall, we never experienced it. It's also close to the uptown which has some restaurants at a walking distance. All in all, its a decent place but a little pricey.

★★★★The hotel is located in the Galleria area, the center of luxury shopping and fine dining. The location is great! The hotel itself, however is dated and tired, and needs a renovation which is ongoing.|The staff is friendly and accommodating. Demario at the front desk is especially good. I mentioned that the shower head had low pressure and it was fixed the next day.|I stay at this hotel on weekly basis for business. I’d love to see the transformation, and hopefully get to stay in one of the renovated rooms.

★★★★★I had an excellent experience with Kevin, one of the drivers at the Houston Marriott West Loop. I realized I had forgotten the shoes I needed for an important meeting the next day, and Kevin came to the rescue. With only an hour left before the hotel stopped offering transportation, he quickly recommended a nearby shopping plaza with several great options. His calm, helpful demeanor and thoughtful advice truly put my anxieties at ease. Kevin went above and beyond, and I’m so grateful for his assistance!

NillThe premises may appear to be of high standard, but the reality is quite different. The front lobby resembles an upscale hotel, yet the rooms are disappointingly similar to a low-cost motel 6, located on the outskirts of a highway in Arkansas. I visited the mini market downstairs for refreshments, only to find that it closes during specific hours. Consequently, I had to drive to a nearby store, adding to the inconvenience of parking fees in an area that seems to not be experiencing parking scarcity. I will not be returning.

NillThe hotel looks very nice when you come into an open huge open lobby. The employees are very nice and helpful. I choose this hotel because I usually am happy with Marriott. This hotel in particular was close to where I needed to be for my in and out surgery and they have a free shuttle… which was a beautiful luxury SUV. However, when I came into my room the I almost instantly was hit with allergies 🤧. The room layout was off and the bathroom was small with no ventilation and everything inside would get damped after showering! Not sure if I will come back.

NillLoved the location, staff was super friendly, courteous, and went above and beyond. The restaurant/bar was very good. The rooms could use a refresh (i believe they were working on this during my stay) but were clean and smelled fresh. Overall, I would stay here again.
