Room was quite good and big with all that is needed. Good shower. Hotel is part of the galleria shopping but No coffee available in the hotel but in their restaurant which is actually in the shopping center , I did not like the breakfast which was rather expensive and not much even if the burger and drinks in the evening were not bad but pricy. No real bar in the hotel and the pool area is not great and the pool was dirty. In general in need of renovations. Service was ok. Location unless you there for shopping is not great. Quite far from downtown as well as from airport. Positive a lot restaurants in the shopping center.

I’m sharing a grave concern I have after my recent stay at the Westin in the Galleria. Initially I was very excited about my arrival and the energy of the staff. I was told I got a 25 dollar credit each day of my stay as a perk. I naturally utilized the hotel restaurant each day. On the day I was checking out I woke up at 6am. I had a lot of work to do before I checked out. Around 9am hotel security is knocking on my door. I open the door unsure, to being met with a security guard giving me a bill. Saying I need to take of the bill. I asked isn’t this something I can settle once I check out? He tells me he was told to bring me the bill. I immediately call the front desk to inquire why security is bringing me a 58.00 dollar bill from the restaurant within the hotel. I also see each credit I received, I was charged the same fee for each day. Which in essence I was scammed by being told I was getting a credit. The representative proceeds to tell me when a balance is due and they try to call you three times the hotel security is contacted. She also tells me my card was declined. I travel monthly therefore when I’m not using certain cards I have on file at destinations I put a block on the card until it’s time to settle a bill. This is to protected myself from internet fraud or misuse of my card. Nevertheless, I was not contacted at all! My room phone never rang and my cell phone never rang. Again I was up since 6am. Furthermore, it was not time to check out. It makes no sense for any of what transpired. It was not only disrespectful it’s absurd. I asked to speak to manager who then tells me people walk out on their bills so they have to take precaution. I paid the room charges before I checked in. The balance was for food and it was under 100 dollars. To take this measure, to lie, is unprofessional and dishonorable I can’t believe the experience I had at this alleged high end hotel. Beyond disappointed.

If you want to be at the mall and the mall only, this is the place for you. If you use any of the ride share services type the address not the hotel as the driver will always take you on the other side to the other hotel and if the mall is closed, the walk is not easy, especially with luggage. The hotel is pretty old. The dimness of the floors covers the dirt on the ceiling. The room was ok. The tub was old and chipped. The AC was loud at times. You can hear your neighbors coming and going. We had a view of the front of the building. The pool… please don’t get me started. What a joke. You have to walk through a ton of bird crap to get to the pool. Talking about unkept! Do not be fooled by their photos. I was looking forward to being at the pool like at the Westin in the medical district. Nope, not the same at all. There was only one person at the front desk no matter the time of day. We did not use housekeeping at all. It’s not a horrible stay but it’s not my ideal location. It really could just be that Houston makes no sense at all. Nothing goes together.

I hate leaving anything but 5 star reviews because I know what a nuisance it is to a business and I also think its bad karma. But my recent stay at The Westin Houston Galleria was, unfortunately, quite disappointing. From the very start at check-in, the front desk agent was unwelcoming and seemed bothered by my arrival. She barely greeted me, didn't acknowledge my Ambassador Elite status, and assigned me a basic room without mention of any upgrade options. Upon reaching the room, I discovered that the keys did not work due to a dead lock, forcing me to return to the front desk for assistance. When I politely inquired about the possibility of a complimentary upgrade, (a typical benefit of my Ambassador Elite membership), I was abruptly told, "That's the room you booked." After some insistence on my part, she briefly glanced at the system and claimed no upgrades were available, which seemed unusual given that it was a Tuesday evening and the hotel wasn't busy. She said she'd send maintenance to resolve the lock issue, though the inconvenience had already impacted my experience. Additionally, I had requested a late checkout of 1:00 PM through the mobile app since I had no plans to leave for Austin until later in the morning. Despite this, housekeeping knocked loudly on my door at 9:05 AM, further disrupting my stay. Overall, the experience was disappointing and certainly not reflective of what I expect from the Westin brand, especially as an Ambassador Elite member. I hope the hotel addresses these issues, but based on this stay, I cannot recommend the property.

I had a fantastic experience at The Westin Galleria Houston! From the moment I arrived, everything was absolutely seamless—the valet service, the front desk reception, and the overall hospitality were top-notch. The room was excellent, well-maintained, and incredibly comfortable. The location is unbeatable, right inside The Galleria, making everything so convenient. Whether for shopping, dining, or just relaxing, this hotel exceeded all my expectations. A huge thank you to the entire team for such a wonderful stay! I’ll definitely be back!!!

I came here for a work trip. Extremely nice hotel and was an enjoyable experience. Clean room, nice bathroom, comfy bed, nice employees. Easy to walk to some places. HOWEVER. Bar costs were absolutely crazy. $34 for ONE double whiskey and coke - ha! Also the daily grill, the hotel restaurant, is extremely expensive. Elevators were slow due to high volume of people. Stairs not conveniently located on 3rd floor for those that didn't want to wait 10 minutes for an elevator. Other than that - excellent experience!

Just want to take a sec to brag on valet. Really courteous, professional and went above and beyond to make me and my family feel welcome and answer any questions about the area. Big shout out to Elbert who helped me with a check out issue on my last day. I truly appreciated how they handled everything over the course of the week. Highly recommend their valet service for anyone staying at the Westin Houston!

We've held events here many times and each time we have no complaints. Overall this hotel is a great venue. Samantha Aparicio was great to work with when it came to all of our event details. We'll keep returning for future events and future stays.
