Red Roof Inn Dallas - DFW Airport North

I didn't get the name of the gentleman working the front desk but I wish I had. He is the reason for the 5 stars. I arrived right before midnight after having my flight changed last minute. I was frantic, pretty much full blown panic attack, being in a state I did not know and this man was just so calm with me and very pleasant. Convenient location, shuttle was reliable. Room and linens were clean, minus a bit of mold above the door. Nothing a bit of minor maintenance couldn't fix. Never plan on returning to Dallas but if I have to, I'd stay here again.

Let's see, where do I begin? So, yes, about four stars for the service I received from a couple of members at the front desk. They were polite, friendly, and answered all my questions. However, as nice as the staff were, I am afraid that I have to state that I did not have a pleasurable experience. First, the walls are paper thin so you can hear literally EVERYTHING going on around you (i.e. fighting, sex, etc.), the rooms look seriously dated, like the last time they even thought to so much as change the carpeting in the rooms were the 90s, so don't expect much in terms of upgraded, technological hook-ups, and all that other fancy stuff you'd find at an upscale five-star or close to five-star hotel. Pests? Well I guess the good thing is, despite the rooms looking like they do not receive regular housekeeping services, I'd say it is a wonder that this place is not infested with rats and roaches. Then the final complaint? If check out is at 11:30 AM, there is no reason for front desk to be calling my room at 8:15 AM asking if I am planning to stay another night. I had booked for one night only, so I feel anyway, that it should have been obvious I was not planning to stay for longer than one single night. Again, polite staff, they answered all of my questions, got me in and out and at check-out they asked me if I felt they met all of my needs for the night I needed to be in the hotel. They did, but for the price this place charges for a single night, you'd think that peace and quiet, not being able to hear what is going on in the rooms around you (because that's embarrassing anyway), would be the very least they could guarantee. Can't 100% say I'll be back in the future if needed. It would have to be a case where I honestly and truly have no other choice BUT to come back to this particular hotel and location, but as long as there are other options, this one will be dead last, but a likely never again.

Our flight got delayed so we tried to find a place to stay for the night we arrived and within an hour we left. The bedding and towels were grimmy and under neath the bed there was a lot of hair and rubbish and a collar. On the bed frame was mystery mold/stains. The staff were very nice a helpful and Tv and bathroom were fine. The app would load to leave a review too Red roof

I had a very positive experience here. The front office clerk was kind enough to grant me a late checkout and even helped store my luggage as I explored the area while waiting on my evening flight. I appreciate the hospitality!

Absolutely disgusting experience from start to finish. My flight got canceled and I had no choice but to book this dump. They told me the shuttle would come in 30 minutes, but I waited over an hour before giving up and calling an Uber at my own expense, just to get out of the cold and off the curb. When I arrived, I wished I hadn’t. The room was filthy. Stains on the sheets, hair in the bathroom, a musty, sour smell, and grime on every surface. It was clear nothing had been properly cleaned. Trash under the bed, dust everywhere, and a shower that made me feel dirtier than before. This place isn’t just poorly managed, it’s a health hazard. Never again. I’d rather sleep in the airport next time.

Positive: It was in a decent area and very close to DFW airport for our flight out the next day. Also had plenty of restaurants close by. Negative: I booked two rooms and they put us on the opposite side of the hotel even though there were several rooms unoccupied right next to each other! The beds were hard and noisy. No water pressure in the shower. Elevators were not functioning.

The rooms are okay for a short stay and the front desk staff is nice. My review centers around the reliability of their shuttle to and from the airport. I informed them that I needed the shuttle the day before and the following morning I still had to wait a half hour for it because the front desk person apparently forgot to notify the driver. On two occasions, I had to pay an Uber to get to the hotel because their phones were not working so you could not call the shuttle. Apparently the shuttle only runs when you call it. This last time, I requested the shuttle as soon as I picked up my bag. I had to wait ONW HOUR to be picked up. I called the desk twice to obtain ETA and they assured me that the shuttle was on its way. I’ve never seen such unreliable service. Needless to say, will never stay here again.

The attention at the front desk by Mrs. Holly is the worst of this place. First she doesn't say hello, she just says "Yes...?? then her body expression shows little kindness to serve. I asked her if I could see the room before booking and she told me: "If you are picky this is not the place for you" I told her that was very rude comment and I was not asking for her opinion, that I just needed to see the room. She stopped attending to me and hid. I asked her the name and surname and she told me I didn't have a last name. She is a rude and racist person.
