NillMy family and I have stayed at the Shilo Inn numerous times for many years and this time we stayed was the worst visit me and my family have ever had. Every other visit in the past years, mostly on the 4th of July have been good with no complaints. Very saddened with how much it has declined. Workers were nice enough but for the amount of money we paid for our two nights it was ridiculous with the stuff we had to deal with. The first room we had gotten, we walked in and the bed wasn't made so we knew “well this isn't our room” because it needed to be cleaned still. Next room smelt so bad but gave the benefit of the doubt because it was a pet friendly room. (We had our dog with us as well) but on that note no shower curtain, no towels, no coffee pot, no microwave plate in our room. The room itself was dirty. We had no comforters on either of the beds. Restaurant still not up and running which was also disappointing. Ended up checking out the next day and not staying the whole weekend. Probably wont ever return to the Shilo sadly. Note- The front counter staff were very helpful. I will say the pool was the warmest it has ever been. In the past it has been cold.

NillDUMP! DUMP! DUMP! Talk about no frills, we paid top dollar for our room and they didn't even offer coffee at all, I mean anywhere. There was four of us [2 queen beds] but only 2 towels, 1 roll of toilet paper, no courtesy room service. We had to almost beg for more towels, we're told they didn't have any because people weren't putting them in the hallway. Told us they didn't get their coffee delivery, but there was no coffee maker even on our room. We bought our own along with coffee from the grocery store, had to beg for garbage bags, and were told they could only give us one. The room was literally freezing when we got there and it took almost 2 hours to get it warm. The TV's were circa 1980's. We go to Ocean Shores every year and I am quite sure we will never stay at the Shilo Inn (or any Shilo Inn for that matter) again. We paid $550 for 3 nights and I have had better $50 rooms. Totally disappointed and would not recommend staying there to anyone.

NillI will never stay there again! They were out of towels. had to buy towels, no shampoo, no coffee or tea or any supplies. They said the shipment was coming in the next morning the next morning it didn’t but I overheard them telling all the people checking in that they were all gonna be there the next day their supplies and they weren’t. It was a lie. lied about the treadmills working they didn’t. The doors should go outside and get back in closest to my room was broke you could get out, but you couldn’t get back in. Restaurant was closed. The only thing I was aware of that worked in the hotel was the ATM. I watched the staff at the front counter lie to many guests. And the worst thing of it all was our toilet hadn’t been cleaned properly and there was poop on the inside of the toilet stuck to the side. Very filthy. The room was a great size. The location was great, but I will never stay there Again. The price that they charge for my room to come with absolutely nothing and have to go buy coffee and have to go by towels and all of that that should’ve been supplied to us for the price not the best place people not the best place. and to top it all off this morning the day after I left, I woke up with cold sores on my face which I do not ever get.

NillOverall would say 5 stars! Mostly due to service! Everyone we interacted with was so friendly and made it such a wonderful stay. Location was great right next to a main beach entrance. Rooms weren’t bad in way of mess but a little outdated in furniture and decor

NillGood location but that's all. Restaurant closed for a long time, pop machine empty, no blanket on bed, bathroom faucet too hard to turn on, no shampoo or soap, no coffee in the room or lobby, they offered catered food which was poor, freezing cold in meeting rooms and rooms,. Very sad I had to ask for shampoo and a blanket at the desk. You can tell it had it's hay day once but no longer. The front door broke why we were there an they didn't fix it, just propped it open. The parking lot was empty. Our group the only people there. They told us coffee shipment was coming the next day but it never came. Then we read reviews they have been telling people this for some time. They could order it or buy it at the local store . Sad tired place on it's last legs. Too bad.

NillThis hotel must have been amazing when it first opened with character and charm. Now, it's a sad shadow of its former self. It's horribly run down. The restaurant and lounge are no longer open. The pool was open when we were there, but the water was freezing. It needs to be updated. The lobby windows are so clouded over that you can't see through them. The sand dunes and overgrowth don't allow for views on the first two floors, but we had a nice view from the 3rd floor. Pet friendly but only allows pets on the first floor. A little on the spendy side for the condition of the hotel.

NillWas visiting the ocean with family, So I got my own room. It costs me $140 a night as an individual, for No coffee since they "just ran out" but now I see reviews saying the same for months. No food of any sort is offered as the restaurant and bar are indefinitely closed. No towels in any rooms, you have to pick them up at the front desk. And No cleaning services during your stay. Only thing going for it is the view if you got one, the general location the hotel is at, and surprisingly the pool was open and my aunt who has been managing pools longer than I have been alive only complained that it was slightly below ideal temperature, so only my youngest of nieces was shivering due to the air chill if she wasn't in the water. If you have pets I have heard dogs whining in rooms and barking in the hall so there is that.

NillWhat a dump! Run down hotel. They don't clean rooms during your stay even if it's a weeks stay. They ran out of coffee. You have to put the garbage cans into the hallway to be dumped and they don't even replace the garbage bags in the can. And they aren't always dumped anyway. You have to ask for EVERYTHING! Clean towels, toilet paper, clean glasses, etc. They still even advertise a restaurant that never re-opened after COVID. The staff is rude and dismissive. I would recommend staying in your car before staying here . Their health facility is nothing more than a couple of treadmills and 2 benches with a set of dumbbells. The pool seemed to be operational as well as the steam and sauna rooms but was afraid to go in them.
