Best Western Plus Eau Claire Conference Center

I want to send a special thank you to the morning breakfast attendants, they were attentive, responsive and even offered to microwave my biscuit. I only regret that I didn’t not get their names so I could recognize them individually. One of the gentleman was wearing all black and the other gentleman walked with a cane…both were on duty together the morning of my stay…great job guys!!

We come to Eau Claire often & typically stay here. There are recent updates that have improved presentation greatly. Breakfast is "the usual," but it is included! We always enjoy the pool & hot tub. And it is hard to find a hotel that has suites with a separate bedroom. This makes staying as a family much more enjoyable & everyone sleeps better!

Greatly cleaned rooms, bartender is amazing, family woman that you couldn’t ask more from For the price per night and comfort that was included, it is a great deal. Here for work not vacation, so take that in note, still a great place for family visits with pool area and daily morning breakfast. AGAIN MONEY WAS WORTH IT, better then I expected once I told them I’ll be staying Monday-Saturday for a couple weeks work wise.

Currently here. I called prior to booking to verify the pool and hot tub were in working order. When we checked in I again asked the clerk if the pool and hot tub were in working order and she confirmed. What I can confirm is that the hot tub is most certainly NOT working, it is colder than the pool. Desk clerk is “waiting for a text from her manager” so she can find the key to even get into the room to try to fix it. As far as I can tell she’s been waiting for quite some time. If a hot tub is important to you, this isn’t the place. I see the hotel responded saying they had just filled the hot tub with cold water, so I guess the front desk clerk knowingly lied to us about everything being good with it because if they had just filled the tub with COLD water it would obviously be cold. Beyond that the air freshener in the elevator smells like too much axe body spray and the room smelled like cheese when we got there 🤷🏻‍♂️ Updating the review after we woke up. Breakfast looked good, but was all cold. Cold eggs, cold sausage, cold sausage gravy. It would seem this place has a hard time keeping everything warm. After talking with our friends (who we also booked a room for) their room had no cable tv, and smelled of mold (I guess the cheese smell wasn't so bad?). This ones a hard pass folks. I've stayed at motel 6's that blew this place away.

The young man at guest services was fantastic. The breakfast staff and food was great. The pool area was just what we needed. Bed so clean and comfy❤🙏

I was there this past weekend fri 1/31/25 thru sun 2/2/25 for an event with family. On Fri after checking in and unpacking it was found that the mirror was not totally attached to wall. My niece went up to front desk to let them know and we were able to change to another room. My sister said the new room smelled like sewer and my niece and her family's room had an awful smell to it. That night I felt something crawling on my arm and hand. My nieces daughter and husband both had some kind of bugs bites on them. I think the rooms need to be deep cleaned after every stay. I have stayed in many best westerns and they have always been clean!! This was the worst hotel/motel I have ever stayed in and have stayed in places that were a hell of a lot cheaper and cleaner. Will never go back.

We attended an event at the conference center for the first time and stayed the weekend. We had two king suites for two nights. I was charged 2 different prices for the same exact room, which I questioned several times, but no one could give me an answer why the price difference. We checked in on Friday, and immediately after getting into the room, we noticed the mirror above the sink was falling off the wall. They did switch us to a different room, but that one wasn't much better. Both room smelled really bad (which everyone at the event that we attended mentioned the same thing) Smelled like mildew. The carpet was very dirty. The beds were so uncomfortable - I slept maybe an hour the first night. I heard from others that their bathroom fixtures were falling off the walls. This place needs to remodel and upgrade their rooms. My family member had bugs crawling on her during the night when she slept on the pull out couch. Like i said... they need to do a better job in cleaning their rooms. The pool and hot tub were average, but the hot tub did look very cloudy and dirty on Saturday night. "The game room" is a closet filled with their paint supplies, and random repair tools. Didn't think that was really safe leaving that room unlocked when their are kiddos running around and it being marked "game room". I would like to say the evening staff this past Saturday (younger woman) she was great! Very nice and friendly. The conference center was nice. I wanted to update my review since the manager replied to my review. First off, I left the manager several messages to call me back, so we could actally talk and work on this matter, but he will not return my calls. The room was filthy, and I have several people who entered our room and can voice that it smelled horrible along with other people who have stayed in the hotel and made the same comments about their rooms. People from our event expressed thow dirty the rooms were and one room, the tub spiket was out of the wall 3 inches! I highly doubt a deep clean was done less than a month ago. I asked to be switched to a different room, but I was told they were fully booked. My family members have bites on them, and one actually SAW & FELT the bug crawl on her arm! In regards to the "game room" that was unlocked (if it wasn't then I wouldnt have known what is inside since the window is darkened to the room) in the evening when there were over 10+ kids in the pool area. I guess I will be calling my credit card to dispute the charges since the manager refuses to even speak to me directly.

I can only speak to the hotel, but the rooms were clean, the bed comfortable, and the staff kind and accommodating. The breakfast offered many options and they did have a gluten free menu. They did advertise gluten free muffins but the muffins available were not. My husband did notice that the public areas could be a little cleaner and the elevators could use a good scrub. That said, we would stay again.
