La Quinta Inn by Wyndham Milwaukee Airport / Oak Creek

If you can find another place to stay, do so. There are better places to stay in the area. If you got to pay 10 bucks more a night, you'll probably be glad you did. I give it two stars because it's a good location relative to where I needed to be, and it also has good ADA access. I am not a wheelie, but I had a broken leg and I had to scoot around on a knee scooter. Good access. But this is not a good hotel. Check out the Hawthorn Suites. It's not too far away and it was better, when I stayed on a prior trip. Will definitely look into that again, next time. The woman at the front desk was cool. I gave her a bunch of crap because you got to get a new room key every time you try to get in your room. But it's not her fault. it's clear that little money has been invested in this hotel in a long long time.

The hallways and common areas smelled horribly of alcohol and cigarettes. Though I was in a non-smoking room, I could still smell the stench from within my room (thankfully, not as much, and a towel under the door may have helped). I do not smoke, but I received a notice on the floor of my room that they had determined I had smoked and would charge an extra cleaning fee; they said they would dismiss this after I asked about it. Breakfast was ok for what was there, though there were not a lot of options or quantity available. The location was convenient, but the hotel definitely needs a deep clean.

I have stayed at this hotel numerous times before a flight as it is 5 min from the airport. However this time the hotel was dirty and more like a long stay resident hotel. We had a room on the second floor, which there was smells of smoking. The room we were in had a deadbolt that did not work. The room was clean but that did not makeup for the activities outside of the room. The only comfort of the hotel was the front desk staff they were all very nice

Stayed there multiple times for work the past few months. Some recently renovated rooms have vinyl flooring instead of carpet. Wasn't a fan of that. Otherwise comfy and clean beds.

Check in staff was very Friendly and fast. Room was clean. No bad odors in lobby or room noted. Very hard bed. Had a great charging dock by bed with 3 outlets and 2 usb slots. The office chair at desk very squeaky, but fairly comfortable.

Positive: Mostly Clean room but the beds are disgusting!!! Wish I could upload pictures tried 3 room all the same please pull the sheet of the mattress and look Negative: Mattress manager would not come out the office to help me with the room issues.

Be careful of this place. They need to be more careful about their maintenance, including grounds upkeep. But it was the loose panel in the elevator and the patches of wall without paint that indicated regular maintenance is lacking. This was acceptable during the lockdown, but that was years ago and doesn't wash as an excuse anymore. They are just saving money at the expense of our comfort. I had to change rooms three times during the night, for a total of four rooms. The problem was the TV remote and the TV. I don't mind getting up to change the channel or adjust the volume, but the buttons on the TV (when they existed) didn't work either. I choose not to have TV at home, but it's nice when traveling because I'm not ready to sleep right away and am too tired to read. So TV it is. I did not complain at the first move -- these things happen, not a big deal. First room wasn't the remote; the deadbolt on the door didn't work. At the second move, to the third room, I grumbled a bit. At the third move, to the fourth room, I openly voiced a complaint about having to move repeatedly because of the hotel not maintaining things. The gal at the counter acted like so many of those under 40 and made it all about her. Apparently, she could not separate her personal self from her position as a representative of this hotel. So she got resentful and started acting out childishly. Mind you, this was my fourth room in one night. But it was all about her.

EXTREMELY rude check in lady. She greeted us and we told her we were checking in, and she said “I gathered that” in a condescending tone. I said “that was rude”, she said “what did you say” so I repeated it and said that’s why we’re here, you didn’t have to say that. She immediately scanned my partners ID and said she was canceling our reservation immediately. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful. NEVER coming here again, and I would LOVE a manager to reach out in regard to their employee. Tall, light completion, messy light brown hair.
