Jungle Paradiso

We loved our stay at Jungle Paradiso! The room was clean and spacious. With balcony facing the forrest so you can watch the monkeys in the trees. The wifi worked great and the family was soo nice and helpful! And great value for money. Can highly recommend! 😊

The place is beautiful and very quiet away from the chaos of the center. The house is comfortably surrounded by nature and you can see many animals, especially monkeys, passing through the forest. The room is clean and has an excellent view of the forest, the monkeys come often and can be observed from a few centimeters away. The family that runs the property is very welcoming, kind and always available for advice and information. the price is very advantageous.

I would say it is value for the money... Google map brought to the approximate location where we can park our vehicles.. however we needed to ask the locals about the stay.. there was no name board.. take the small narrow lane and walk walkfor a minute .. you will reach the place...

we came for 3 days but stayed for a week. All thanks to the excellent room and the hospitality of the hosts. They always had something new to offer that was hard to refuse. Very family atmosphere, I felt at home. Separately, I recommend choosing a room with a balcony. When you are tired, you can always watch the life of the jungle from your room. Sitting on this balcony, I saw monkeys, wild pigs, porcupines. We also managed to hear a deer at night, but in the dark it was impossible to see it. Many thanks to Jungle Paradiso for a great stay!

Clean and very affordable accomodation. The host is friendly and helpful, and the homestay is located in the quieter part of town. However we found the photos to be misleading, and we did not find a children's play area. Some small touches could improve the travellers experience, such as providing toilet paper. Be aware that alcohol is not permitted in case you are a younger traveller looking to party a bit.

Ajmal is an extremely friendly and helpful homestay owner. He is on hand to help with all you need and he made my stay with him a very pleasant and memorable experience in Thekkady. The location is a nice walk away from town and so there is no constant noise of engines or horns. My room was simple and basic but suitable for a short stay at the low price offered. Wifi is good and reliable If you are looking for a TV and creature comforts then this is not a destination for you. It is a very basic stay with a cold water shower and probably in need of a good tidy up and spring clean. Still the charm is in the troop of monkeys that visit a couple of times a day just a few feet from your door. The 'naughtiness level' of these monkeys is high and the daily tussle with the locals - or the laundry - is always amusing. I hope that Ajmal will dedicate a little mor time to making the homestay more homely - it's in a great location and he should make more of it if he can.

Our stay here has been really great! The room is clean and the balkony allows a nice view into the jungle, you will definitely see monkeys and huge squirrels from there eating jackfruits (but don't worry there's a fence). It's an amazing experience! The owner Ajmal is very helpful and friendly and welcoming :) We can highly recommend a stay at the Jungleparadiso!

The place is run by a very friendly and helpful young man and his family. After discussing our plans for the day with him he got the respective tickets for us. ||The guest house is located 10-15 minutes walking distance from the main street. The view from the room towards the "jungle" was quite nice and we even got to experience monkeys first hand. The room itself was not very clean, seemed as if the bathroom had not been cleaned before and we also did not get towels...
