Such a marvellous place, comfortable, a garden of Eden, very wonderful people. Charlotte gives you so many important details in order to have a good experience in Kochi, she took me to the garden to show me the medical plants she used to make an herbal tea together with her mum who gave me the names of her trees. They both prepare an excellent breakfast. And dad : he is so humble, so nice, so wise, always ready to help you, the kind of father everyone would dream of. Their home stay is very well situated. I will have great pleasure to come and see them again. Thanks for all to the Duram's family.

Possibly the best homestay we have stayed in on our extensive travels in India. The warmest, most friendly and welcoming family is there to ensure you have the perfect stay in Ft. Kochi. This serene property is in the heart of the historic district on a thriving but quiet street, close to all of Fort Kochi’s attractions and many excellent restaurants. The rooms are quiet, very clean and well appointed. The historic building is built around two peaceful courtyards, and our room looked out onto a lush garden created by Mrs. Walton, where you can observe wonderful birdlife. We were greeted by Charlotte, who runs the homestay and is around to assist you with anything you need, whether restaurant recommendations, local history, a book to read from the extensive library, or mundane things like laundry. Charlotte ensures the best guest experience and makes certain that the place runs like clockwork. Mr. Walton will create a custom plan for you based on your preferences and time available, and arrange tours, attraction tickets and transportation. Mrs. Walton cooks a delicious breakfast and graces the breakfast room with her presence. We came expecting a historic house in a good area of town, and left with new friends and a special place in our hearts for Ft. Kochi and Kerala.

Super welcoming and helpful family. We had a comfortable room opening on to a beautiful garden oasis with a pond, banana trees and orchids. Light, fresh and simple continental breakfast. Centrally located in Fort Kochi.

I’ve spent 2 days and 1 night at Waltons’ with four friends. We’ve loved being hosted by the Waltons family. We felt welcomed and they all are super friendly and nice. The building is an historical one, but the rooms we’ve spent the night in were pretty new with all that is needed for a pleasant stay. The continental breakfast includes toast, eggs and a variety of fresh fruits. We strongly recommend this place. Thank you Waltons family!!

The Waltons are great hosts. So friendly and helpful. They will organise taxis if you want to do any day trips. Breakfast of fruit, eggs and toast while chatting to Mrs Walton and Charlotte Walton is a great start to the day. Fantastic location in the old town, close to restaurants, Chinese fishing nets and shopping. Beautiful heritage building.

★★★

Old house in a touristic region of Cochin. The house has many rooms to rent, with a garden in the middle. The room was acceptable, but nothing special, simple room , the bed comfortable, the breakfast simple but ok. There is not s refrigerator in the room nor in the house. So we had to drink the warm water offered by the house. So we bought the water from outside which became warm very quickly. Suggest to the house to put at lest one refrigerator in the veranda. |Conclusion: nice house, simple, with the minimum necessary, the price is high for what you get. The house is well placed , if one wants to stay around this touristic location. Good cafe and restaurants around, the jewish town very close

We arrived in Kerala after a long and testing flight, exhausted we made our way to the Waltons Homestay which turned out to be the best tonic for our flight fatigue.||The homestay is family-run and we grew very fond of our hosts Charlotte and Christopher. Charlotte in particular was so accommodating and graciously welcomed us to our room and India. She provided us with all the need-to-know information, including recommendations on where to eat, what to do and a handrawn map which was a lifeline when exploring.||The rooms were clean and our beds were refreshed each day. Our room had a little balcony overlooking a beautifully green garden, perfect for a 11am coffee.||Breakfasts were delicious and made in-house by Charlotte's mother. I can recommend the masala omelette. I was particularly impressed by the Walton's commitment to environmentalism, offering water refill stations for their guests. The water is UV treated so is safe for travellers.||Had I an questions, the Waltons were always ready with advice and recommendations. Would definitely recommend to anyone staying in Kochi, and am hoping to return again in the future.

We stay at Waltons for three nights, the perfect length for a first visit to Cochin. ||We arrived having flown from London via Doha. Unfortunately my baggage didn’t. As soon as we told Charlotte she took charge, so we could enjoy our stay ( with some new clothes’ purchased ) while she sorted out recovering my lost baggage. On the third day, due to much chasing by Charlotte, my bag was delivered. ||The location is perfect, in the center of the old town but quiet. The rooms are spotless. Plenty of good restaurants locally. When we arrived Charlotte gave us a map of local recommendations for eating and advice on the best ( cheapest ) way to get around. ||The garden is a joy, with lots of medicinal plant, which Charlotte will happily share her knowledge of.||I would highly recommend Waltons and definitely stay there again if we visited Cochin in the future.
