Kabiraalaya Homestay

I had booked the place over the phone. The rooms were cozy and clean. The owners who hosted us were very nice and accommodating. When we reached the homestay, it was a little late in the afternoon, so we had asked if they could provide lunch. They said that they will happily make it for us. The food was very nice and homely. The place has an amazing view of the kanchenjunga from both the balcony as well as the terrace. Given another opportunity to visit Darjeeling, would choose this place with my eyes closed. Full marks for hospitality. Only thing is that you have to walk a little bit from the road which might seem an issue on the first day, but you get acclimatized to it. Super place to stay for a family with little kids.

95% satisfy for all of their hospitality. So sooooo beautiful place.... Sooo beautiful person here.... I am totally surprised to see their hospitality..... The distance may be 3/4 minutes from main road...it is only one thing to be adjust also they help your bag and baggages carry on that time... Thank u all mr & mrs. Chetri... 👍👍👍👍👍👍

I had a wonderful time at Kabiraalaya Homestay! Suresh and Suju are amazing hosts and do their best to make your stay as enjoyable as possible! Ideal location, great food, good advice and recommendations to get off the beaten track, I highly recommend this place! The only downside for noise-sensitive guests is that some rooms lack a bit of soundproofing. But this is quickly forgotten in comparison with the incredible roof top and above all the kindness of Suresh and Suju!

Kabiraalaya Home Stay was just like second home at Queen of Hills. Upon arrival we were warmly welcomed by the Owner (including family members). Our luggage was also received by owner for 5 mnt walking distance. I felt, it was a great place to stay. Location is also city centric and close to nature. You also found good valley view along with glimpse of Kanchanjanga. This place is very well maintained... I like the nature of Suresh Ji, He was so polite and friendly nature and respectful person. He treat us like a family and take care of every thing. Food is also cooked and served as per our choice. Home cooked food was yummy. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. We loved the ambience. I would highly recommend this place. Thank you to whole family for being a nice host.

This homestay immediately made me feel at home and I spent a couple of days here. It was a privilige to stay with this amazing, authentic family and share breakfasts and dinners and learn about their lifestyle and beautiful surroundings. Darjeeling is amazing for hikes and enjoying the fresh air. I stayed here mid December, when it was a bit chilly, so make sure you bring some warm clothes and you will love it at Kabiraalaya and the christmas atmosphere in Darjeeling ;) Thank you for hosting me and all the best for you and your family!

One of my best trip till date as Suresh Ji and his family put their all efforts to make our stay awesome and pleasant. I wish I could have spent some more time with them. Excellent customer delight...we dint feel that we are tourist or guest....just felt like family.....Suju ji your food is marvelous...i.do not have words to describe their hospitality during our stay. I really missed to take pictures ..my bad.... nowadays relatives do not do much but their family did for us going out of their own space of hospitality...great Family... awesome stay... amazing customer delight....never been so touched by their behaviour....thank you so so much...I can give more stars

This homestay is exceptional! Suresh and his family are the nicest hosts you can imagine! They took care of us as we were family - we cooked together delicious Darjeeling food, talked about their habits and customs, religion and society. They are very open hearted and made our stay with them unforgettable. Truly I have to say we became friends and we very much hope to be back one day!
