Amaltas Homestay

My visit to Shantiniketan and Amaltas are intertwined and seems to be inseparable now. The long afternoons spent in the spacious veranda , the mellowed sun rays fallen through the large tree leaves in the vast garden inside , momentarily brings into being a beautifu maze of light and shadow and the chirping of birds creates a serene atmosphere for longing and a home we continue to search all through our life as city dwellers. You'll leave a part of yours once you left Amaltas , but you'd carry Amaltas inside of you until you visit it again...

The best part about Amaltas is in its simplicity. It feels like home and offers an experience that is true to Santiniketan. Spacious, scenic and serene without being mindlessly touristy. Extremely hospitable hosts whose warmth and compassion made my one year old Beagle fall in love with them in no time. One of my best stays in recent times and will visit again soon.

House not maintained properly, bathrooms are dirty and frequent water logging happens. Owner not helpful as they charges extra on baseless demands. Feels cheated. Not recommended at all. Please don't come
