Sonar Bangla Guesthouse

It is a nice hotel to stay near RK beach. Also all staff of this hotel are Bengali and they are very co operative. Specially sea view from this hotel is outstanding. You can get Bengali delicious Bengali cuisine from this hotel's canteen. I really enjoyed 3 night stay in this hotel. I recommand everyone to stay here.

Third class hotel. No room service after checking. Dirty rooms. Defunct gadgets including AC &TV. Geyser, & flush not working, shabby furniture. Running kitchen but hygiene is too bad. Fried 🪳 found in potato fry. The attire of the waiters and cook is too dirty. Attitude of manager and staff is unprofessional and casual. Further the building has security issues and is open to all as it has different offices located in the same buildings. Not worth your money. Enough to spoil the vacation. Don't book this hotel.

I'm writing this review of my childhood memory. It's been more than 15 years since we visited vizag. Our family's one and only favourite hotel is this. We are Bengali and most of the stuff is Bengali. So it's an ease of communication. There was a ice cream 🍦 parlour opposite of this hotel. Really they had a variety of icecreams. A really nice place to visit. And please visit the ramkrishna mission behind this building.

* Location is best -- only plus point. * Rooms are worst and dirty. * Toilet & comode very dirty. No hand-shower. No backwash (for comode) available. * Door and windows are very poor -- wooden frames damaged -- not properly lockable and close-able. * But direct sea view is available, because of excellent location. * Total hotel area is having no maintenance and very dirty. * Room height was very less, people can easily touch ceiling fan blades, even while standing on the floor -- very very dangerous. * Airconditioner (split) was having problem -- remote & control related -- but if it can be run, room will get cold -- again, no maintenance. * Lift never works -- it is actually defective and abonedoned. They always will tell that, it is defective now and will be repaired & restored within a week ---- but practically they never repair. * As we had booked their AC room, (@ Rs 2000/- per night) 1 month in advance, over phone call and whats app, with 100% advance payment (through UPI - as they demanded) we had no option to cancel that. * Behaviour of hotel staff is somehow ok, BUT behaviour of the manager / owner / management staffs are VERY AROGANT & RUDE. * We felt misbehaved & cheated here. * We do not recommend anyone to stay in this hotel. * All the supporting photographs are attached herewith for reference.

One of the worst hotels of Vizag. There is no room service, no generator, no cleaning. Beds are not broken. Rent is excessive. But sea view from several rooms is good.

Recently visited Sonar Bangla guest house.Hotel location is good but hotel room cleaning ,door lock system and fooding is very bad.Please don't book Hotel Sonar Bangla guest house.They are hungry for money.

Best place to stay the only reason I rated 3 is the behaviour of the management is not good enough and every gadget in the room is just for show no power for geyser no tv channels and no proper mat in the room.. The room Location & Service of other stuff are at its best...❤️
