Hotel New Suriya

My experience with the agency that arranged my stay at Suriya (Asmita) was disappointing. I spent four days at a nearby Hayat hotel, but our dinner was provided by Suriya, which was just average. After checking out, they expressed dissatisfaction with the 20 Rs tip I left, despite having given a generous Rs 500 overall. This felt quite unprofessional. On a positive note, the manager of Suriya, Mr. Fahim, was very courteous and helpful. However, the agency they work with fell short of expectations. Overall, I would rate my experience as average. It seems they prioritize profits due to their prime location over providing quality service.

Why should one choose this hotel? 1. Excellent location, 15 mtr distance to dallake. 2. Very cordial behaviour of all staffs. 3. Manager,Mr. Faheem Khan is very cooperative and gentle man. 4. Chef is also very good and flexible. 5. Several food joints (Pizza Hut,KFC, South Indian foods) are at 1 min walking distance. I shall strongly recommend this hotel. I stayed there 5 nights with family in October '23.

Very unhygienic and dirty rooms and toilets. Cheap service. Room rent was 2200 with breakfast which was not that cheap to gain such a bad experience. Not recommended for couples. Maybe good for large groups who are looking for cheap hotels. However, the rooms and toilet should have been cleaner. Only good side is the location. I will highly recommend to search for alternatives.

We spent our first day in Sringar in this hotel and really liked the place. The hotel itself was clean, had hot water and friendly staff. I really liked that on the last day they held our luggage for this special thank's to Manger . It has a clean bathroom, all staff were friendly.We appreciated that the water was always out and you could refill bottles with mineral water all the time.Overall though, I would stay here again - especially since it's so close to the dal-lake,which I absolutely loved. Great way to start our Kashmir experience

Superb hotel, and a wonderful staff. the room was highly comfortable and so was the bed. the bathroom was clean, fresh towels had been provided when we checked in. It was an ideal hotel in a budget with great value for money, the hotel had nice spacious rooms with clean and comfortable interiors. The service at the hotel was perfect and at par with my expectations. Good food and a convenient location near to Dal Lake. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Hotel's location is one of the best, you are in the middle of everything. Hotel rooms are clean & very comfortable. Staff are really nice as well. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a charming little place to stay.Good location not far from Dal lake.Bathroom is quite high standard for the hotel category. Good value for money Staff is nice and try to be helpful.
