OYO 10534 Hotel Kanishka

I feel great experience. Well maintained rooms Large parking lot. But the only drawback is that there is no accommodation or shower facilities for the drivers. The restaurant here tastes good. But the staffs are very arrogant.

While checking out at the reception desk the 2 smart looking Malayali accented gentlemen tricked me into handing them my phone and then not only went through it without my permission but took the liberty to rate their hotel high within my online booking app which I would have otherwise left unrated but now I want to write this review due to this outrageous behavior. The pictures of the room did not match at all the level of beauty and finish as shown in online ad. The online rating of 4.3 of this hotel is misleading and it deserves 1 star. The building and amenities are old and dilapidated and don't seem to have been renovated in a long time. - The beds were not made out as they were shown to be in the online pics - The towels and soap were not provided initially and were given only on asking - The furniture, floor, ACs and washroom fittings are all old and damaged - Paan stains in dustbins - Water jugs are old and appear dirty - One room reeked heavily of cigarettes probably from the previous booking - The complementary breakfast was the same everyday and it was much more dull than the breakfast combo they were serving to walk in customers. Why not provide that same option while booking complementary breakfast by paying extra. The kitchen staff would prioritize the complementary breakfast lower than walk in customers. Quite unpleasant. The customers would be served much better for their money by removing the complementary breakfast option altogether. - The in house restaurant is overpriced and the food is not as good as the price suggests I stayed as the booking was prepaid and I had to stick to my schedule. The only satisfying feature in this hotel is the room service staff who indeed are courteous and well mannered. They did clean and served the room well and proper during day hours.

I loved the size of the rooms. very spacious and not like the cramped ones found today. Our room was clean and the washroom too. The washroom needs sprucing up. The breakfast was very ordinary, they could use better cutlery. The staff too need to maintain modern standards and require training for the same. There was no staff to pick up our bags and we had to specifically ask for someone. Overall it was a pleasant stay despite the drawbacks. This must have been a glorious place once. Can definitely be brought back to shape.

Not really good, employees needs training on how to recieve the customers, how to make them comfortable. they come to the hotel to relax after traveling long distances, work load....pl take care

A budget friendly hotel to stay. Reception service was good. House keeping staff were also prompt. There is no restaurant within the hotel but the one in the next building will deliver food at door once ordered. Food is nice but keep in mind that only vegetarian dishes are available. There is no BAR but if you want liquor, the boys will help to get it for you. Overall stay was nice.

Some rooms were large and spacious. Luckily we were allotted one. Made a mistake of using laundry. Charged exorbitant price. Toilet flush never worked in a 3 day stay. Very poor room service. TV and cable remotes didn't work. Of late government run hotels are better managed than this shanty place. Pros: Centrally located. Proximity to Majestic and Metro. Breakfast is served in next door restaurant(OYO guests get standard Idli, Vada and bit of rice) and the entrance reeks of urine smell.

I would say this place is value for money. The building is bit old but the rooms and toilets are neat. Nice location and its calm. Got plenty of parking space, that's a huge plus for someone who often drives to destination. The complementary breakfast could have been better.
