Hotel Poonja International

I visited this "INTERNATIONAL" hotel, and they provide international level of cheap service. Yes, I had booked this hotel through Goibibo for of price of 2700+ for one night for me and my parents just to sleep and and freshen up. When I visited this hotel, the moment I entered to the room, it smelled like pee everywhere. The room and the washroom smelled very bad unsure of what's the reason. The bed were just made up after someone and it was not fresh at all. They provided the bed which was already gone from inside and it was not narrow or the coir and foam inside the bed were completely gone. It was soo uncomfortable to sleep as the bed was low in the middle part and top and bottom were in a diff height. However, I requested them to give me another room so that parents feel better but even this room condition were very bad. They asked me to upgrade to a suite room.. I mean whyyy? This room I booked was a economy room but doesn't mean that it isnt

I wish there was negative star option but sadly this hotel does not deserve that also. Pathetic experience Rooms are dull with equally sad lighting and colours, person with mild depression will go into full blown depression with rooms status. I was staying in suit , that is what they called it ,believe me it will not qualify to any thing. Room service was horrible , you have to call them multiple times for single order , the guy who was taking orders was not sure what he was doing in hotel. Breakfast had only two options and one is over they will not bring it again , even if it’s breakfast time. Toaster was not working and the butter was terribly out of this world. Restaurant was equally depressing and again dimly lit, remind you it’s not in romantic sense, it’s melancholic. I would like to warn not to go on good reviews what’d are not to be believed like me.

We visited Mangalore on April2025 and choose Poonja International hotel for our stay. It's good with AC Rooms with good budget. Fantastic stay .The staff was friendly and attentive, the room was clean and comfortable, and the amenities were top-notch. The location was perfect, close to all major attractions. A truly relaxing and enjoyable experience. Highly recommend for anyone visiting.Five stars all the way!" We visited in our own Car and loved the Car parking. It's in heart of City so many shops are nearby and walkable distance. I would recommend it to all. Thanks Management and Team.

Don't be fooled with 5 star reviews here. If you sort by the positive reviews and read the reviews then you will clearly notice a pattern in all of them. That should give you a better idea about the reality of those reviews I had a very bad experience of staying in a non AC room here for 1 day. The reception lobby and lift are the only things which look good in this hotel. Rest all interiors in the room are outdated. Pillows and mattresses are too dirty and have not been changed in many years. So are the bath towels.The room stinks. The main guy serving breakfast acts as if he owns the place. He tried to be funny when asked questions but he is nothing short of a bully The tea serving kettle is so old or outdated that tea refuses to flow even if you bend it (though the kettle was filled with tea to the brim). Guess what! They have kept sugar for tea but no stirrer. Not even a steel spoon. So good luck having your cold tea. Same was the case with the watery watermelon juice 😂 Good luck to those trying to fill it in your cup! The extension numbers mentioned in the card placed next to the telephone have changed. They have not even bothered to change it. If you order some food in your room, then you have to pay the bill immediately. There is no option of paying during checkout There was no toothpaste provided in the kit. Had to get it explicitly after speaking with reception The TV remote was broken and there was no battery in it. There switch to turn off the TV which turned on automatically when we plug the key. Strategically located in the market area, rooms are good at the tariff they are offering. Some rooms are old but the management is renovating some of them. Staff is super courteous and the Owner is present most of the time to look after operations. Ample parking is there.

Location: The hotel is conveniently located near Mangalore Central Railway Station, making it easily accessible on foot if you’re traveling light. No need for an auto if you’re a solo traveler with minimal luggage. Rooms: If it’s an off-season period, I recommend directly visiting the property to book your room. This way, you can avoid waiting for the check-in time. Room Type: We booked a non-AC room for two people at ₹1900 during our visit in December 2024. If you prefer an AC room, it costs an additional ₹600. Breakfast: The breakfast was included in the price, and the quality was excellent. We were lucky that day as almost all items were served and tasted great. Room Quality: The room was average and chosen mainly for its convenient location. The beds weren’t very comfortable, the bathroom flush wasn’t working, and the TV was also non-functional. However, hot water was available, which was a plus. Parking: The property offers plenty of parking space for both cars and scooters. Service: We didn’t interact much with the service team during our stay, so I can’t comment on that. Overall: It’s an okay option for the price, especially if you prioritize location over comfort.

Very nice and comfortable hotel. Good sight to city from upper floors. Accept international Master, visa and other international payment cards. Accept euro Cash for payment too. Nice and kind staff. Tasty drinks and food in bar and brekfast. Choose upper floors with Best sight to city. It is more silent too.

Staff are courteous and well mannered and Restaurant service is also very good. Needs improvement for service at Guest reception while waiting for check-in. Duty manager Mr Satish Shetty and his team are very cooperative.
