Hotel Mayura Hoysala Mysuru

We booked non-AC rooms, but they were located outside the main premise .. The building shown in the photos only has AC rooms; the non-AC ones were separate and quite different from what was advertised. There was no service available in the room — it felt more like staying in a dharamshala. When I asked for drinking water, they refused and started arguing.. staffs were drunk. As a solo female traveller, I did not feel safe in this building, as there were many men loitering around. The only positive is that the rooms were cheap, but I had booked this hotel based on the pictures, and the reality was very disappointing.

I chose this hotel for it's great location. You can walk down from the the Railway station and then to my place of work. The property looks inviting - a heritage building, clean yard and a nice garden. But the rooms are a let down. It's ok for a shower and breakfast, but not worth the price for an overnight stay

Good and well maintained hotel. Looks vintage. Near the city. Market is 15 minutes walkable. This hotel also has a restaurant and ample parking space. We skipped the hotel restaurant on first day and explored the market area for local delicacies and sweets

Had a wonderful stay at Hotel Mayura Hoysala Mysuru The ambience is amazing and gives a charming heritage vibe the windows and bed in the room have a beautiful ancient-style design that adds to the overall experience. The property is well-maintained by the Karnataka government and offers good room service for food, with prices that are quite reasonable. There’s also a restaurant right behind the stay where you can dine in, and they offer a complimentary breakfast as well. The staff are polite and treat the guests with great hospitality. Overall, a great experience for anyone looking to enjoy a peaceful and culturally rich stay in Mysuru!

I booked 2 Heritage rooms looking at the reviews but my stay experience was unpleasant. Unfortunately the room I stayed was not well maintained and the service personnel were not proactive. Had to keep reminding them about the missing items in the room. Pro: Property is close to the Mysore Junction Railway station, approx 300mts. Con: * service is pathetic. I called reception to arrange for soap and a bath towel as it was not kept as part of the room package. I kept following up and after repeated requests,they arranged. * in-house restaurant food is very bad and not upto the standard. seems like eating at some road side shack. * there is no option for ala-carte in Breakfast. only Buffet option and the options are very bad or limited * Heritage rooms are small and poorly maintained. we booked two rooms and in one of the rooms wash basin tap did not have filter which caused water to spray outside the basin. there were leakages in pipes in both rooms and flush button was missing. They could have maintained the room well as its a government property but the service people are not doing their job this gives a bad name to this iconic property. Hope they work on the issues I mentioned.

The location is easy to find and well connected. The reception area is pleasant, and the staff are warm and receptive. Comfortable waiting chairs are available, and the check-in process is smooth and efficient. The Deluxe Suites, located in the newly constructed building, are spacious, clean, and well-furnished, with modern bathrooms and reliable hot water. The Double Bedrooms, situated in the older heritage wing, are equipped with AC but are slightly smaller in size due to older-style planning. However, they are well maintained and retain a traditional charm. There is an in-house restaurant with a limited but decent menu. The property also features a charming lawn with stone pillars and seating areas—great for taking photos or simply relaxing. Parking is adequate, and the hotel is close to key tourist attractions and the railway station, making it a convenient and comfortable choice for travelers.

I recently stayed at Hotel Mayura Hoysala and it was truly worth it. The staff were extremely kind and helpful throughout our stay. My son wasn’t feeling well due to the journey, When we asked for nearby hospital details, the staff arranged an auto for us (possibly associated with the hotel). The auto driver waited at the hospital for over an hour and took us back to the hotel, without charging us anything for the trip or the wait. He also asked about our travel plans and suggested a few places to visit based on our available time, which turned out to be very helpful.The hotel has an in-house restaurant and bar, offering both dine-in and room service options. The rooms were clean, spacious, and well-maintained. During check-in, we had to wait about 15 minutes while the staff arranged the room key. Noticing us standing, one of the staff members kindly invited us to wait in a cleaned room until the key was ready. The food at the restaurant was delicious especially chai served there was exceptional—just like homemade chai!

Good location and kind of helpful staff. They did not want to arrange a taxi from the bus station, which we would have appreciated since we are to young girls traveling on our own. The WiFi did not work as promised which was a problem since I had a scheduled work meeting. I sat in the lobby during it which worked, but it was not great. The rooms were spacious but we would have appreciated a more cleaned bathroom. And the room could have been more cleaned as well (e.g. the windows).
